Joint practical training plan of Knorr-Bremse and the Kecskemét University
since 2012: during the 7 semesters dual students have an opportunity to try and
practice the processes with the assistance and support of committed experts of
each functional area.
The practice-oriented/dual type training is different from a traditional basic
training programme offered by the university at two essential points. In the
practice-oriented/dual type training in each semester the 12-week term is
followed by 6 weeks of practice, and then examination period. The traditional
summer holidays are shortened, because after the summer examination period
there is another 6 weeks’ practice, followed by four weeks of holidays.
During the training period, each student spends a lot of time at the company
with a specific time schedule, just like any employee and receives financial
renuneration from the company, which is the second essential difference.
Personal engagement of KB employees – year by year the KB project team
will be extended in line with the practical timetable of the education -, to shape
together our future through knowledge transfer.
