FINISHING Each completed square will measure approximately 10” x 10”. Because of the variety of stitches and patterns, squares may differ slightly in size from each other. Blocking them all to the same size before sewing them together will make assembly easier.

Arrange squares following Construction Diagram, or in 3 x 4 pattern as desired. With right sides together, whipstitch squares together into four rows of 3 squares each. Whipstitch rows together in like manner.

BorderBorder is crocheted in rounds, all on the right side.Round 1: With crochet hook, join D with slip st in upper right corner of afghan, ch 1, 3 sc in corner, work sc evenly spaced around edge of afghan, working 3 sc in each corner; join with slip st in first sc.Round 2: Ch 2, work backwards crochet around edge of afghan; join with slip st in first st.Fasten off.Weave in ends.
