Dear Brother Knights, Happy New Year! May this year be a productive and fruitful year with many activities that we can serve our God, our Church, our Families and our Community. A lot has happened since the last newsletter in December. 1. It is with great sadness and hopeful joy that we said good-bye to our beloved past-Chapain, Father Benno Burghardt. He passed away on Sunday, December 29 th , the Feast of the Holy Family. Until we meet again, pray for us Father Benno. 2. We had a membership drive on January 11 th and 12 th after Masses. Two brother Knights from Supreme helped in this effort as well as three brothers from State. We have a new member, Brother Luc Stofati, a family man currently attending Saturday evening Mass. I look forward to introducing him and his family to you in this fraternal year. 3. Brothers Roger Marquis and Renaldo Lam wrapped up a successful Charity Appeal with the help of many brother Knights and their families. Brother Renaldo will fill us in on details at the upcoming General Meeting next Tuesday. I attended the District Training Seminar on Saturday, January 11 th hosted by St. Joseph's Council. There were some key takeaways that I will list here for your thoughtful perusal. if Council isn't busy enough with relevant activities, men will be on the sidelines we have to have things for people to do, then they will want to join in and help we need to make parish announcements letting the people know what we are doing wear name tags and Knights gear while doing activities Guy Precort, a Knight working for Supreme shared a story.. Guy is from a rural parish near Winnipig. The local Bishop informed the parish that the priest's living accomodations were very poor and needed upgrading. The Knights council organized the work to renovate the rectory for their pastor and in the course of the project, all men in the parish joined the Knights.

He passed away on Sunday, December 29th, the Feast of the Holy Family. Until we meet again, pray for us Father Benno.

3. Brothers Roger Marquis and Renaldo Lam wrapped up a successful Charity Appeal with the help of many brother Knights and their families. Brother Renaldo will fill us in on details at the upcoming General Meeting next Tuesday.

I attended the District Training Seminar on Saturday, January 11th hosted by St. Joseph's Council. There were some key takeaways that I will list here for your thoughtful perusal.
