‘On the Mat…

Successful programs do not get started in high school. They start with feeder and developmental pro-

grams in elementary and middle school. Our Jr. Raider wrestlers were hard at work this week, and our

Jr. Basketball teams played all weekend long.

Off the Blocks Quickly...

Fast swimming against 7 teams! RRHS finished 3rd overall with the boys placing 3rd & girls placing 2nd ahead of county rivals Se-

quoyah & Cherokee! Out of 22 events, RR had 41 top ten finishes and 12 top three finishes. Knights took home 5 event wins: Girls

More Honors…

Congrats to Brayley Clark and Ragan Martin for being selected as one of the to CCSD's Social Studies Fair win-

ners... 22 first-place winners advancing to the 2018 Northwest Regional Social Studies Fair in March! Our own

Kymberly McCalla was selected as a CCSD Student of the Day, and The Tribune did and article on Ashley Hess-

man and Work-Based Learning. Mr. Ewers does a great job with this program and deserves a ton of credit.

Expectations…

A smart man once told me that pressure can break a pipe, but it can also make a diamond. The only

poll that really matters is at the end of the year, but it’s nice to know what is expected. Your Knights

baseball team was selected as the pre-season #1 team in the state by the Georgia Dugout Club maga-

zine.

Thing to Do and See…

You have several chances over the next couple of weeks to see many of our talented students perform.

Our drama department will be presenting The Crucible, and our students will have the chance to show-

case their talents in our Talent Show. Make some time to come out and support our kids.
