Reasons to Get Involved and Support the PTO

Shoparoo is an easy way to earn money as there is nothing for you to buy, sell, collect, count or mail-in. Simply download the app and register with Kennesaw Charter Science and Math Academy PTO. Be sure to select your student’s grade. For more information, visit www.shoparoo.com.

PROMOTION: We ask all families to collect 500 Shoparoo points each month. At the end of September, the individual for each grade who has collected the most Roo points, will win a pizza party for your child’s class. Only one class per grade will have the pizza party at a date and time selected by the teacher.

Our PTO exists to provide support for the educational, social and recreational needs of the students, staff and administration in an atmosphere that is consistent with the educational philosophy of KCSMA. By participating in the 5-50-500 (5 volunteer hours, 50 Box Tops, and 500 Shoparoo points), you are directly impacting the success of our students and school.

As we prepare to go to the Brave’s game on September 22nd, let’s kick things off with our teachers by hosting a Take Me Out to the Ballgame themed luncheon. The teacher luncheons are a time to show appreciation, not just in May, and to provide the teachers a different lunch experience. Please consider volunteering your time or donating an item towards this event. Volunteers are welcome to wear a team shirt.

Going forward, the teacher luncheons will occur every other month. If you would like to help with developing the themes and menus, please email PTO@kcsma.net.

Box Tops for Education Thanks so much to those of you who have clipped and turned in your 50 boxtops! Box Tops help our school by raising money! Every Box Top you send to school is worth 10 cents. This might not sound like much, but they add up quickly. Just think - a completed sheet is $5! This year, our goal is to raise $2,500!
