Welcome to Garcia’s Kitchen Andrew (Andy) Garcia, born and raised in Albuquerque, was always interested in entrepreneurism. He started his working life as a traveling salesman. Aſter his travels, Andy worked for the U.S. Postal Service, owned a seasonal firework business, decorated night clubs in Albuquerque for holidays/special occasions, & opened a rental company for party tents, tables, chairs, dance floors & even limos. Andy was proud to be one of the first food vendors to set up at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta! Aſter selling food and novelties at fiestas and fairs, he realized that he loved feeding his family, friends & customers with his great homemade food. In his early 50’s, Andy, with the help of his children, opened the first Garcia’s Kitchen located at 4th & Mountain Road on November 1, 1975. Today, Garcia’s Kitchen is still family-owned and operated, has 7 locations throughout Albuquerque and employs nearly 250 people. It was always Andy’s goal to provide good handmade food at a reasonable price for the families of Albuquerque. His dream of becoming an entrepreneur has truly become a reality. After his travels, Andy worked for the U.S. Postal Service, owned a seasonal firework business, decorated night clubs in Albuquerque for holidays/special occasions, & opened a rental company for party tents, tables, chairs, dance floors & even limos.
