SOurce air hOOdthe all-rounder in hoods saves space and money! Ventila-
tion hoods with integrated supply air intake in the form of
front displacement air outlets . ideal as a compact compo-
nent, it creates a focal point, collects vapours above the
cooker and feeds low-draught and low-induction supply air
into the kitchen .
using a perforated front plate with 40 % free cross-section,
6 .0 mm hole spacing and 4 .0 mm hole diameter, the tem-
pered supply air flows evenly through an isolated pressure
chamber inside the hood in the kitchen area . compatible
with practically all hood types (excluding tyPe f-K, f, d-K, d
and cK/gf), this hood type serves as an all-rounder to suit
a wide range of applications .

injectiOn hoods with supportive flow technology are used to coun-
teract cross-flows and efficiently collect cooking vapours .
the injection hood is available as both a wall-mounted
hood and a ceiling hood . the pre-tempered fresh air is
blown into the isolated supply air pressure chamber via
diffuser plate and the supportive flow nozzles to stabilise
the thermal stream in the hood .
Supportive flow nozzles can be adjusted to the respective
air volume and create a strong stabilisation effect with 30 -
50 m3/h per linear metre of hood length .
inductiOn With this technical hood version, an induction volume flow
of max . 20 % of the entire volume is blown directly into the
hood . this enables enhanced extraction of the exhaust air
and improved collection . contrary to the injection prin-
ciple, the tempered supply air is not blown into the hood
storage space through nozzles but through adjustable
ventilation grates, which enable optimum fine tuning .

Sl-thermO enables reduced energy consumption (up to 30 %) compared with standard hoods . the heat exchanger is installed
precisely above the cooking equipment, where the exhaust air temperatures are highest . the cold fresh air is conducted and pre-
warmed in a flat tube heat exchanger in the cross-flow for the warm kitchen exhaust air . the reheater positioned behind it is only
activated in extreme cold to heat the air to the desired temperature . all with significantly lower energy consumption .

Sl-thermO – a cOmPact SyStem integrated in the
hOOd and/Or ceiling fOr highly efficient heat recOVery .
thanks to the special design, this development is ideal for exhaust air that contains aerosols and solves the problem of a central
system . the distance of the flat tube in the heat exchanger is sufficient to avoid any blockage or severe contamination, so service
life and pressure drop are not negatively influenced . the clash of cold fresh air and hot exhaust air generates condensation on the
surface of the exchanger pipe in the hood interior . this condensation automatically “rinses” the grease particles from the heat
exchanger and may run down the back to the aerosol separator in the condensation collection channel and drain off from here .
We therefore refer to a self-cleaning action, as the heat exchanger keeps itself clean without additional devices .
an output as regards heat recovery efficiency and design of the reheater and/or heating output
can be calculated on a case-by-case basis .

BiOlOgical SecOndary treatment Of aerOSOlateS in accOrdance With din 18869-7 – fOr ceiling and hOOd .By this method, your ventilation system is automatically kept free of aerosolate
deposits in a thorough, convenient, biodegradable and energy-efficient way .
Sl-micrOmatic uses the properties of natural enzymes to biodegrade aero-
solate and fat particles in the ventilation hood . Spray nozzles in the storage
space opposite the aerosol separators generate a fine spray mist . this mist
mixes with the thermal airflow of the kitchen exhaust air . this evenly distributes
the mist throughout the entire system and wets the surface of the exhaust air
components . this biofilm dissolves aerosol deposits and prevents the forma-
tion of new deposits . the cultures break down the molecular chains of the
aerosols . this generates water and carbon dioxide, which is simply removed
with the exhaust air flow . the spraying process repeats automatically . its
frequency can be individually adapted to the kitchen operations .

With uV light and OZOne . fOr ceiling and hOOd .tried-and-tested technology based on ultraviolet (c) light and ozone supplements the separator function of conventional systems
and eliminates noise . new accumulation of soot is effectively prevented . the Sl-uV-cOntrOl works with special uV lamps, a paten-
ted safety device and a monitoring controller with individual lamp testing . the special uV lamps are mounted behind the aerosol
separator .
during the cleaning process the odorous and greasy exhaust air is absorbed by the kitchen ventilation system and guided through
the special uV lamps . a photolytic oxidation process takes place whereby the organic substances in the exhaust air (e . g . grease) are
destroyed . grease loads and noise emissions are significantly reduced – by up to 95 %! the final products are oxygen, carbon dioxide,

cleVer liKe nature the system is based on the impact of short-term uV radiation (photolysis)
and the chemical reaction of the ozone (O3) produced by the atmospheric oxy-
gen (O2) with the organic particles (oxidation) . Ozone is an extremely reactive
and unstable form of oxygen that can oxidise organic substances in the air
e .g . grease . at the same time bacteria, germs, spores and viruses are killed
(ozone disinfects 100-times more quickly than hypochlorite) .

system components are monitored via a modern BuS system in conjunction
with a touchscreen . at any time the control unit can supply all relevant infor-
mation on the operating status of the system e .g . filter monitoring and func-
tion of the safety locks, status of the uV lamps, operating hour meter or fault
monitoring in the exhaust air duct system . the tool also immediately reports
any faults, thus ensuring perfect functionality .

dissatisfaction and often illness . a good working climate in industrial kitchens therefore requires corresponding sound insulation .

cross-flows, spread of smells, poor exhaust air collection, narrow spaces?
Südluft offers the solution to these problems with its supportive flow
elements in the Sl-injeKtiOnStechniK . exhaust air vapours and steam
are extracted with the exhaust air through vertical and horizontal air inlet
nozzles, which are connected to the fresh air supply via a special construc-
tion . these also allow enhanced separation through a constant and even
separator inflow .
furthermore, this technology enlarges the collection storage space, thus
increasing efficiency whilst reducing the exhaust air requirement . the total
supply air requirement is approx . 30 - 35 m3/linear metre, but max . 10 % of
the supply air volume . the required inlet pressure should be 50 Pa . Small
booster fans supply the necessary compression .
