Duties and Responsibilities
To provide administrative direction and oversight for all Sports programs and activities and supervise the control, issuance and maintenance of recreational Sports equipment and facilities.
To supervise full and part-time sportsofficers, full responsibility for training, mentoring, and evaluating coaches and sports officers in the County.
To coach at least one sports team in the County and coordinate activities of all other teams and recreational sports groups.
To establish and maintain standards of dress, scholarship and conduct for team travel and training, and practice rules for all County Sports.
To develop and manage departmental, team, and special events sports budgets.
To teach sports activity classes to willing County staff through the
supervisors. Support and assist in campus wellness
and other related University activities To represent the County at
professional meeting and other special or public events related to sports.
To perform other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time by the Chief officer.
Requirements
Be a Kenyan Citizen Be a holder of at least a first degree
from a university recognized in Kenya; Possess professional qualifications in
the relevant field; Satisfy the requirements of chapter six

Job Description Kirinyaga County Public Service Board is seeking to
recruit a Manager who is passionate about supporting Disabled and disadvantaged children to turn their lives around and achieve their potential. This post will also play a key part in fund-raising, partnership work and communications with partners and supporters.
The children have been traumatized by neglect and abuse; and over time we aim to nurture them back into both physical and emotional health. Motivated by confidence in their ability, we provide them with food, healthcare, clothes and protection, but above all, with a supportive partners giving them love, hope and purpose. The County Government provides education to facilitate these children to tap their potential in life. The post holder will be responsible for managing all aspects of running the Home.
Duties and Responsibilities
• To be responsible for the management, co ordination
and development of a range of quality services for
children referred and/or accommodated within the
home.
• To promote and support the Kianyaga Children's home
mission and to ensure that every opportunity to
publicize the name and work of the home is pursued.
• Pro actively research funding opportunities from
trusts, foundations and corporate supporters.
• Prepare monitoring and evaluation reports
• To assist the Board to keep in touch with our
supporters - answering their enquiries
• To carry out marketing and make use of local
networks in order to recruit new individuals as
children's sponsors. This will enable Kianyaga
Children's home to offer a home and future to more
disabled and disadvantaged children.
• To undertake any other such duties as required by the
Director, commensurate with the grade of the post.
• To manage a designated budget (as required) ensuring
that the home achieves value for money in all
circumstances through the monitoring and control of
expenditure and the early identification of any financial
irregularity.
Person SpecificationThe most essential qualities we are looking for are enthusiasm, commitment and a passion for supporting disabled and disadvantaged children in Kenya.In addition, the following skills and experience would be desirable.
Skills Excellent organizational and administration skills, with ability to maintain accurate records. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines. Able to use initiative and work with minimum supervision. IT Skills, especially in email, excel, word and PowerPoint.
Requirements for Appointment:
Be a Kenyan Citizen
A relevant Diploma from a recognized learning
institution in Kenya.
Relevant working experience of not less than five (5)
years working with people with disability or social work
Must possess excellent communication skills (English
and Kiswahili both oral and written)
A team player, able to cope with a highly challenging
environment.
Ability to work under minimum supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities
The ECDE Officer shall be responsible to Director of Education on all matters pertaining to ECDE and Child-Day-Care Services in the County. The officer at this level may be deployed to coordinate ECDE activities in the Sub-County or head a unit in the County Directorate of Education. Duties and responsibilities at this level will involve:
Supervise and oversee curriculum implementation
and delivery in ECDE and Child-Day-Care Centres.
Co-ordination of capacity building and co-curriculum
activities in ECDE and Child-Day-Care Centres.
Co-ordinate the county staff in the ECDE and Child-
Day-Care Centres.
Liaise with both national and county government
entities on matter of service delivery in ECDE and
Child-Day-Care Services.
Enforcing the prescribed County licensing conditions,

Requirements for Appointment For appointment to this position, an officer must be:
(i) A holder of Bachelor in Education (Early Childhood Development/ Primary option) or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
OR Bachelor of Education with Diploma in Early
Childhood Development;(ii) Served as an ECDE- Trainer/ DCECE-Officer/
Education-Field Officer/ Head of ECDE Centre for a minimum period of (3) three years;
(iii) Demonstrated a thorough understanding of the current trends in Basic Education and in particular Early Childhood Development Education in Kenya.
(iv) Those with Masters in relevant fields and currently serving as ECDE teacher trainers/Examiners in ECDE National Examinations will have added advantage.
