Jen Info everywhere no excuse stats sweden is a mine of info covering from pop to age to bus sentiment and industrial capacity. Many stores close early, specially weekends, good luck finding something open past 9pm, except gas stations. Most people get of at 5 so it be hard to get your shopping done between 5pm and 6:30pm see Swedes work to live not live to work like most Americans Its not uncommon to find business close for the whole month of July since its when employees go on their 4 6 week vacation. Unions enforce this right. Time should be respected at all times weather for business or social event. Meetings will start with or without you.

Jen For many years its culture has been know by four stereotypes According International Coffee Org (ICO) rank 2nd in world after Finland in coffee consumption per person. They drink minimum of 5 cups a day during fika coffee break or meting with friends, family, colleagues for quality bonding Nearly more then half of Swedish population have a facebook or linkedln to keep their social networking going Water is clean, fresh, and ice cold Most grocery store will charge you a few cents for a plastic bag. Is one of the most eco-friendly countries. Always take your shoes of before you enter a private residence sign of respect and hygienic purposes. You can purchase alcoholic drinks at bars, restaurants, and pubs. But for private home events only at one of the 4000 state run liquor stores called systembolaget. Is one of the leaders in equality between sexes. Couples are entitled to 480 days of paid parental leave. You will often find dads at the parks pushing strollers and babies strapped to their chest. Having lunch and fika dates with other dads. Swedish is the national language but you can get away w/o knowing it.
