Week 1 27th April 2016 Sharing Our News Welcome back to Term 2! I hope everyone had a restful and relaxing holiday and you are now ready for a productive term. I have been enjoying getting to know all of the wonderful staff here at King Street P.S. I am also looking forward to meeting our parents and students and working together to support our students. As Mr Upcroft explained previously, my substantive position is Assistant Principal at Bolwarra Public School, where I have also been relieving Principal for the past 8 months. Please come and introduce yourself to me when you are visiting the school. Thank you to all of the students, parents and teachers that attended the ANZAC Service and march on Monday. It was fantastic to see so many great photos of our students and teachers proudly representing our school. Our school service was held today and our leaders did an excellent job conducting the ceremony. Well done everybody! Thank you to Mrs Stretton for organising our ANZAC ceremony. Proud Students Honour our ANZAC’s

King Street Public School was very represented by a

large group of students at the Singleton ANZAC Day

march this year. The students looked fantastic and

were very proud to be marching to honour our

servicemen and women.

Thank you to all who attended. Lest We Forget.

Turning ‘Purple’ for Epilepsy

Congratulations King Street on once again showing

your kindness! On the last day of term 1 our

students wore all shades of purple to support the

Epilepsy Foundation. It was a great day with

$308.60 being raised to support this very worthy

cause. Thank you to everyone for your support.

Carnival will be held this Friday, 29th April. Students

will be walking to Cook Park, leaving school at

straight after lunch (12pm). All students turning 8 or

above in 2016 will be attending.

Could all parents/carers please ensure students

have the following to take to the carnival:

A bottle of water

A hat

Asthma puffers if required

Suitable shoes for running 2/3 kms.

Family and friends are very welcome to come along

and watch the children compete. If you would like to

We look forward to a fun afternoon.
