• The Cure played their only UK festival in 2011 at Bestival on the Isle Of Wight on Saturday 10th September on the main stage infront of 50,000 ecstatic fans. The Bestival crowd welcomed them with open arms and embraced an incredible two and a half hour long set that covered the breadth of The Cure’s fantastic back catalogue, included many chart hits, fan favourites and a few surprises not played for many years.• Sunday Best and Shock Records are very proud to be able to make this incredible moment available for purchase in its entirety on 9th December 2011 as a Double CD featuring 32 classic Cure tracks, knocking up a total of two and half hours of playtime. All profits from the sale of this album will go to the Isle of Wight Youth Trust at the request of Robert Smith himself. The Isle of Wight Youth Trust is a charitable, independent and professional organisation offering counselling, advice, information and support services to young people aged 25 and under on the Isle of Wight and, in some cases, their parents or carers.• For Cure fans, since the release of their last album, 2008's 4:13 Dream and the band’s year-long world tour there has been little news. Robert Smith had returned from that tour to be showered in plaudits including NME's Godlike Genius award, but then for 18 months he all but disappeared. He listened to music he hadn't listened to for years, old blues and jazz records, and read loads. He recorded a handful of guest vocals, for Crystal Castles and the Japanese Popstars and then, in early 2011, the Cure's management got a call from Bestival who wondered if the Cure might want to headline this year's event - they did! So on Saturday 10th September Robert Smith, keyboardist Roger O'Donnell, bassist Simon Gallup, and drummer Jason Cooper took to the Bestival main stage and performed something very very special.

• Seventeen year-old Liam's interest in music stated very early. He began singing at the age of two, played classical piano at six and took up the trumpet at nine. He also plays the drums and guitar.• He was inspired to sing jazz by his mentor and teacher, multi-award-winning jazz pianist/singer Dorian Mode, who introduced him to the Great American Song Book at the tender age of twelve.• Liam was a natural and showed promise immediately. He fell in love with the music of Frank Sinatra, Kurt Elling, Harry Connick Jnr and Michael Buble and continues to incorporate elements of these singers into his flourishing technique.• Recently Liam appeared as a contestant in "Australia's Got Talent" and was thrilled to be one of only 10 acts competing in the Grand Final.• The album titled "ALL OF ME" was launched in Melbourne at his first-ever major solo concert where he performed to a full house at Palms Showroom at the Crown Casino, accompanied by an 18 piece "Big Band". At the end of the two and a half hour concert he received a standing ovation and performed two encores. • When unknown guitar virtuoso Tosin Abasi released his debut solo album on Prosthetic Records under the moniker ANIMALS AS LEADERS, in 2009, few predicted the band's meteoric rise over the next 2 years. Although he earned acclaim as lead guitarist in the Washington DC metalcore act Reflux, it was still a longshot that an instrumental album of prog-metal with jazz, electronic and ambient flourishes would develop anything more than a cult following.• The group's second album (also on Prosthetic Records) is another example of why the band is revered as being trailblazing pioneers of modern heavy music. Steve Vai called the band "The future of creative, heavy virtuoso playing". The diversity of their music has seen them tour with a wide variety of acts, including Deftones, Underoath, Circa Survive, Dilling Escape Plan, Thursday, Dredg and Decapitated.• 'Weightless' is the first time Animals As Leaders has recorded as a true band, with Abasi on guitars, Javier Reyes (guitars) and Navene Koperweis (drums). • 2011 has been a good year for King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Recently nominated for an Age EG award, the band have also landed themselves a plum spot at December's upcoming Meredith Music Festival. To fi nish off a stellar year in style, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard unleash their latest EP, Willoughby's Beach.• Dripping with the sneering insouciance that singles 'Black Tooth' and 'Dead-Beat' had in spades, Willoughby's Beach is as electrifying as a hurtle down the Princes with the brakes cut and the accelerator jammed to the boards.• Siphoned from the fevered mind of Stu Mackenzie and fi ltered through the sensibilities of the seven-member King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard army, Willoughby's Beach was committed live to tape in one sweat soaked, adrenaline fueled session at Paul Maybury's Fairfi eld warehouse.• The pulsating drive of 'Danger $$$' kicks off proceedings in fi ne form. Infused with a sludgy surf vibe that permeates throughout the EP, 'Danger $$$' slams through to the dirty rockabilly jive of 'Lunch Meat'. 'Crookedile', now THIS is what the Ghost Train at Luna Park should sound like - think Romero, b-grade movie horror goodness and vampires that most certainly do not fucking sparkle and you're pretty much there. Following on, 'Let It Bleed' displays a lighter touch and is about as close to romance that King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard get.• Willoughby's Beach rounds out with 'Dustbin Fletcher', 'Stoned Mullet' and the EP's title track. 'Dustbin Fletcher', clocking in at 3:09, is the second longest song on the EP. Opening with a bit of machine gun guitar to get the knives sharpened before settling into a hand on your knee groove, 'Dustbin Fletcher' charms as it works its way up your leg with a litany of 'Whoa, oh, oh, ohs' and 'Oh, oh oh, ohs'. Nice.
