OUR APPEAL FOR LUTHERAN THEOLOGICAL SOUTHERN SEMINARY begins on July 1, with offerings received during the month of July. The red rose on the altar is given to the Glory of God and in memory of the 8th anniversary
of Alfred Saullo’s passing on June 23.
Prayers of Joy and Best Wishes on the birth of Hyland Laurel Fisher, born on June 18, 2019. Proud parents are Matt and Melisha Fisher, older sisters are Alexis & Addison Fisher, paternal grandparents are Jim & Ann Fisher. A rosebud vase on the altar is in honor of her birth.
Pastor John is away for a few more days. He will return to work on Thursday morning, June 27th.
HOW PLEASED WE ARE that eleven of our young people attended Confirmation Camp at Lutheridge last week with Liz and Pastor John. They are: Pallas Alexander, Mykaela Bennet, Abby Carpenter, Aleigha Christy, Cooper Hinson, Gabby Johnson, Kaylee Murph, Zander Nichols, Ella Ramsey, Kamden Ridgell, Kara Voelker. Our young women will be confirmed on June 30th at the Joint Worship Service at 10:00 am. Our young men will be confirmed on September 29th. We rejoice to have these active young people as an important part of our congregation.
The next Tuesday night Simple Supper/Book Study will be held on July 9th, 6:30pm at the home of Sharon Meendering. The book we will be discussing is Educated by Tara Westover. Kingdom Kids Faith Formation July is time for CAMP. If you have young people that would like to come to Agape Day camp, that
registration is on our Facebook page, cost is $80.00. We have spots for Pre-K through rising 5th grades!
HS/MS Youth looking for Projects for our Stay at Home mission trip July 21-24th
Our HS/MS Youth are doing a Stay-At-Home Mission trip this year and are looking for some projects. We currently have two projects in the
works, but would love more; a short one around 1-2 hours in length.
1. One will be with G.W. Carver working on their courtyard
Project we are doing with Sammie Abernathy.
The projects can be 1-2 hours in length and we would be willing to work for a donation to our Mission
Project Fund.
Summer Volunteers NEEDED- It’s that time again when we need some help. If you are willing to help with any of the below, please let

• Grocery Shopper for Our Stay @ Home mission trip/Agape Day Camp July 21st-July 23rd
• Provide Snacks for PreK and Agape Summer Camp (5 weeks over the Summer– you pick and
chose)
• Volunteers to help with Morning and Afternoon Snacks during Agape Day Camp
(30 mins for Each) July 29th-August 2nd

For women: jewelry, scarfs, hats. Men: new or gently used baseball hats. Other items suggested: what nots, music boxes, small flash lights, key chains, coffee mugs, sugar- free individually wrapped hard candy, small or large boxed Kleenex, Lance crackers, religious crosses, angels, dolls, small stuffed animals. Take a look around your house to see if you have anything you would like to declutter. There will be a box on the ramp for you to place them in. Dollar Tree has a lot of things they love, if you prefer to buy new items.
