Where did January go, it always seems like the longest winter month but this year, it just zoomed by.    Maybe because it was

a mild January.   Hoping the rest of the winter is just as mild.   Of course, I would not mind one winter storm if it happened on my weekend off and I could be home all weekend with a couple good books and hot cocoa.    Happy Valentines Day to everyone.   Remember our shut ins and our troops.   And if you get a chance, send a valentine to the Bath VA.   Our veterans love getting mail over there and especially during Valentines for Veterans week!   Happy belated 44th wedding anniversary to Jim and Barb Kull of Hornell.  They celebrated their 44th year of marital bliss on January 27, 2012.  Rosemary Clifford was truly surprised at a 80th surprise birthday on 1/22/2012.   Her 8 children and many grandchildren were able to attend as well as many friends who surprised her.  One of her oldest friends, Jean Pratt of Canisteo was there and they have been friends since the age of 4.     Congratulations to Pat and Jerry Dunning of Hornell on the birth of their grandson, Benjamin  who was born to their daughter, Kim and her husband, Tom.   Baby Benjamin arrived on January 5, 2012 in Olean, NY.  I have seen pictures of him and he is adorable.   What a nice way to begin the New Year.   Uncle Mike Dunning of Hornell is also excited too.   Megan Marion of Hornell  who attends college near Syracuse will be celebrating her birthday on  February 1, 2012.   Her parents are Sandy and Mike and live in Hornell.     Frank Bottomley of Hornell will be celebrating his 80th birthday on February 1, 2012.   Congratulations Frank..have a great day.  

Rich Wood, a former resident of Hornell now living in Winter Garden, Florida will be celebrating his 30th birthday on February 3, 2012.   As his Mom, all’s I can say is I feel old now that my baby has reached his 30th year! Karen and Bob Wood, former Hornell residents will be celebrating their 40th wedding

anniversary on February 5, 2012.   They were married in 1972 and moved out to Ohio in 1973.  They are the parents of four children and now have 12 grandchildren.   Larry and Rebecca Robertshaw of Elmira will be celebrating their 7th wedding anniversary on February 5, 2012.   Larrry is a former Hornell resident and his parents George and Kathy reside in Hornell.   John Foster Jr. of Hornell will be celebrating his 57th birthday on February 5, 2012.   On February 7, 2012, his brother Bill will be celebrating his birthday.    Turning 54 years old on February 5, 2012 is Kathy Jackson Button, a former Hornell resident who now resides in the Daytonna Beach, Florida.  Betty Monaghan of Hornell will be celebrating her birthday on February 6, 2012.   Eric Booth of Canisteo will be celebrating his birthday on February 7, 2012.     Kennedy Mandzi of Canisteo, NY will also be celebrating her birthday on February 7, 2012.     Jamie Kull of Hornell will be celebrating his birthday on February 7, 2012.   Celebrating her birthday on February 8, 2012 is Audrey Morris of Hornell.     Bette Rowe a former Angelica resident who resides in Rochester will be celebrating her 90th birthday on February 8, 2012.   Carl and Mary Cartella of Hornell  will be celebrating their wedding anniversary on February 9, 2012. On February 11, 2012, Fran Smith of Hornell will be celebrating his birthday on February 11, 2012.   Carol Robinson of Arkport will be  celebrating her birthday on February 11, 2012.  Her granddaughter, Jessica Houghtaling will be celebrating her birthday on February 13, 2012.   Sid and Jean Parks of Hornell will be celebrating  their wedding anniversary on February 11, 2012.   Celebrating their wedding anniversary on February 13, 2012 will be Red and Barb Flint.   Ann Crowe of Hornell will be celebrating her birthday on February 13, 2012.   Sharing the same birthday 2/13/2012, is Elizabeth Clifford also of Hornell.

 Kim and Tom Power of Olean will be celebrating their 2nd wedding anniversary on February 13, 2012.      Mary and Arnie Flint who reside in Hornell and S. Carolina will be celebrating  their wedding anniversary on February 14, 2012.   Jessie Lieb of Hornell, daughter of John & Liz Lieb will be celebrating her birthday on February 14, 2012.    Also sharing a Valentines birthday is Rachael Depew, daughter of Rex and Donna Depew.   Rena Tuller of Bath, a former Hornell resident will be celebrating her 90th birthday on February 15, 2012.   Congrats and have an amazing day, Rena!    Barb Jones of Arkport will be celebrating her birthday day on February 16, 2012.   Barb is a retired teacher from St. Ann’s  School and married to Larry Jones.  She is the Zumba instructor at the YMCA and also teaches the Kid Fit program there.      On February 17, 2012 Calvin Milliner of Hornell will be celebrating his 87th birthday!   Have a wonderful birthday Calvin.     Celebrating their wedding anniversary on February 19, 2012 is Harry and Mary Smalt of Wayland, NY. Pug Nasca of Hornell will be celebrating  her birthday on February 21, 2012.   Diane and Jeff Dailey will be celebrating  their 26th wedding anniversary on February 21, 2012.   Jeff will also celebrate his birthday on February 22nd, 2012.   Jerry Brown of Canisteo will be celebrating his birthday on February 22, 2012.   On February 23, 2012, Jennifer Marion will be celebrating her birthday. 

Dick Sirianni of Hornell will be turning 86 years old on February 26, 2012.   Have a wonderful birthday Dick!  On February 27, 2012, Carol Dickey of Hornell will celebrate her birthday.   I want to extend my sympathies to the family of Mary Lou McHale and Meyer Spitulnik.  They are always in our hearts.
