Slide Show: Using Idea Machine Templates
QuickTime™ and aTIFF (Uncompressed) decompressor
are needed to see this picture.
Open KidPix Templates
Select the Idea Machine icon in the upper left hand corner
Double Click to Open
Folders and Subfolders
From the window select the folder area you want to explore
We will use “All About Me” then the subfolder “Thankful”
There are many projects to look at under these folders and subfolders
Choosing your Template
Once you select your folder and subfolder category you will see template options.
Choose the template you would like to use
Select Open
Draw on your template
The template you chose will open up into the blank page spot on your easel.
Use the draw and paint tools to color the picture.
Use ABS to add your Text.Use stickers to personalize
Saving your work
When you are finish make sure you save the picture
Go to the FILE menu select Save as..
Save to the My Pictures folder
Make sure you are in the My Pictures folder
Name your template Click on the Save
button at the bottom right of the screen
Repeat these steps to create all the pictures for your slide show
The Slide Show
Once you have completed all the slides for your show you are ready to start.
Select the Slide Show icon in the lower right corner of the screen (it looks like a film clip)
Building the Show
The slide show builder will appear.
Click on the folder icon underneath the first slide to add your saved picture
Adding Saved Pictures
The My Picture window will open up on the desktop
Select the name of your first slide.
Click on the OPEN buttin
Add all your slides
Repeat these steps for each slide that you want to add.
When you are finished adding slides you can watch your show by clicking on the green PLAY icon
You can change the time between slides by choosing the TRANSITION icon
Printing Options
To print your slide show Go to FILE in the menu bar
Select PRINT Choose how you
want to print your booklet
Click on OK Click on PRINT
Other Information
Your slide will be saved to the My Slideshow folder
You can save slide shows to a flash drive to create a class movie
Slide Shows can also be made with all original drawings
