The Knolls at CapellaA breathtaking brunch spot is the Knolls at Capella, with itsstunning Sentosa location and its first class nosh. It’s a veritablefeast of Mediterranean inspired delights, much of which are created“a la minute” by a crew of uber-talented chefs. Worth a specialmention is the seafood spread, in particular the super-fresh sushiand sashimi. The kids will marvel as the chef whips up crepesbefore their very eyes, and the gelato selection is a welcomehealthier option than the usual ice-cream on offer. For the parents,it’s a nice touch that staff serve the well-stocked internationalcheeseboard direct to your table (no need to lift a finger except tocall for a champas top-up). The Pan PacificThe Pan Pacific Singapore lives up to its “Give your Sunday anEdge” catch phrase. And what really sets it apart from its hotelbretheren is that it offers a FOUR HOUR brunch experience. Hmmm, things could get messy with our fave Veuve on tap. Lucky there isplenty of scrumptious sustenance to line your stomach. Thinkprepped to order Wagu beef steaks and decadent duck confitravioli. Best part is that you hand over your table number whenordering and they waiters deliver piping hot deliciousness direct toyour table. The local offerrings such as spicy laksa and Indiancurries are up there with the best we’ve tasted. Music to our ears –there’s a dedicated kids corner. Plonk them there for some kid-tertainment and a dvd or two (save up their TV quota for the weekto stave off any guilt)!Where: The Edge, Pan Pacific Hotel, Level 3, 7 Raffles Boulevard,

Mezza9 at the HyattThe theory behind the Mezza9 at the Hyatt is that it embodies 9distinct dining experiences to titillate your tastebuds under oneroof. The quality of variety of the buffet is second to none. Our onlygripe with this otherwise superb brunch, is that being on thewindowless mezzanine the space feels a little dark. Not a dealbreaker however. What it lacks in natural light, it more than makesup for in innovative specialty items such as the dry ice gin vapourinfused desserts. It’s cullinary theatre at it’s very best. As for kid-ability, Mezza9 has it covered – kids under 7 eat free and there is agreat Kids Club in a room just off the main restaurant for easyaccess.
