Intensive week of missions training for churches in-terested or already engaged in missions opportunities in the Americas. An opportunity to connect with IMB missionaries from the Americas and other churches engaging people groups in church planting. The pur-pose is to learn more about some of the most fruitful missions practices currently being utilized and to sharpen each other as we strive to equip ourselves for the Kingdom’s sake.

Themes: Three independent tracks/work-shops will be providedIntroductory Missions Training:This is a broad-spectrum overview of key topics for effective short-term missions. This track will follow our PartnerConnect model and participation in our online webinars is encouraged (but not required). The next webinar sessions to be offered will be on Tuesday nights from October 1 - November 19 at 8:00 p.m. EST.  Registration: tiny.cc/webtraining

Advanced Orality Track:This will provide an overview of oral strategies histor-ically and currently being used in missions and then work through some specific tools to aid the develop-ment of an oral strategy for church planting and disci-pleship. Some previous experience or exposure to Bible Storying suggested.

Community Transformation Training:The training of nationals in the use of community development lessons (basic, preventative health care lessons) as an outreach to prevent common physical problems; improve the overall health of a commu-nity; and to establish legitimate relationships with

non-believers in order to tell God’s story. The training will look at ways to incorporate healthcare and other human needs aspects into your overall comprehensive church planting strategy. The process discussed will have a heavy emphasis on training nationals as well as on orality. Experience or previous training in orality/Bible-storying required.
