It is interesting to know, what problems excited the Scythian soldier who possessed this sword?

In « History » Gerodot specifies, that in Scythia they esteem a print stop Geraclus. The length of it is two elbows, the size coincides with a print of the right stop of the person on one of the small black stones of Khortitsa.

Let's stop to have a rest for a short time in a shadow of a young oak.Once Khortitsa was glorified by the oak groves, the age of separatetrees exceeded 500 years. The first of known written mentions of Khortitsa is connected with a sacred oak.The first of known written mentions of Khortitsa, whichwe find in the composition of the Emperor of Byzantine Konstantin Bagryanorodny « About Ruling the Empire » (946 – 953)

It is probably this 700 years’ oak which even after destruction remains a symbol of city of Zaporozhye, was similar to well-known Khortitsa’s oak.

This well-known oak has dried up in 1871 (under D.Javornitskiy's certificate), having lived about 2000 years.
