Integration with Nemo Data Collection Tools

Nemo Xynergy is seamlessly integrated with Nemo data collection tools. Data can be uploaded directly from collection tools to Nemo Xynergy for processing. This enables faster turnaround time of processed results and removes the need for manual managing of data flow from collection to post-processing. As an example, in an in-building test scenario a report of the collected data is available within 15-45 minutes, sent via email to the field engineer. This allows the field engineer to validate the collected data before leaving the venue and to make additional corrective measurements during the same visit if needed.

Nemo Xynergy is also integrated with Nemo Cloud. Nemo Cloud is used to remotely control the configuration and measurements of collection tools in the field and to monitor the measurements in real time. When coupled with Nemo Xynergy, Nemo Cloud can also be used to configure the automated data upload to Nemo Xynergy, including report configuration and execution. The executed Nemo Xynergy reports are available also in Nemo Cloud. This gives a single access point for end-users to configure, execute, and monitor the progress of field measurements, and to fetch the final deliverables.

Optimization and Troubleshooting

Nemo Xynergy has an interactive user interface for online drive test data analysis, such as map plots with BTS overlay, delta plots, L3 signaling flow and decode, playback, and serving/neighbor/top n strongest cell link drawing to BTS overlay. This makes it possible to perform simple and intuitive in-depth analysis with a web browser and eliminates the need to install and maintain a desktop application. However, when preferred by the user, the datasets of individual Nemo Xynergy projects can be downloaded to a local machine for analysis with the Nemo WindCatcher desktop-based post-processing software. This makes it possible to seamlessly link the centralized post-processing system with local post-processing activities.

Nemo Xynergy provides automated routines for troubleshooting drive test issues, such as crossfeed, poor coverage, interference, neighbor list issues, pilot pollution, poor data throughput, VoLTE call quality, and dropped calls using a web-based analysis module. Nemo Xynergy also provides the ability to perform end-to-end analysis of drive test issues by correlating them with network statistics and parameters. The Drive Summary view in Nemo Xynergy automatically pinpoints typical issues found in drive test data, such as poor coverage, interference, crossfeed and neighbor list issues, pilot pollution, poor data throughput, VoLTE call quality, and dropped calls, allowing you to drill down to further details.

Site and Cluster Acceptance

Nemo Xynergy provides an organized method for accepting sites, clusters, and systems as part of small (hundreds of sectors) or large-scale (hundreds of thousands of sectors) deployments. Nemo Xynergy supports an end-to-end process of site acceptance with automated processing, pass/fail criteria evaluation, reporting, automated and online analytics, and archived retrievals.

Nemo Xynergy is used commercially for significant 3G and 4G deployments by Tier 1 operators. Collection teams upload site/cluster acceptance drive test raw data to an FTP site using pre-determined file naming convention. Once the data is uploaded, everything is automated from automatic processing, report generation according to test plans, and pass/fail evaluation to overall project management.

Nemo Xynergy’s Acceptance Project Manager and dashboards with grouping, filtering, and drill down capabilities provide an efficient way to stay on track with nationwide roll-out projects.

Figure 6. Acceptance dashboard provides a quick way to identify sites/clusters that have failed

Nemo Xynergy can be configured to periodically send detailed status reports or trackers to the project management team. This way they will know exactly the list of sites/clusters that have passed through the system and their corresponding statuses and KPIs.

Benchmarking

Nemo Xynergy comes with many competitive analysis-oriented features and reports, such as nationwide benchmarking reports, delta plots (metric comparison on the map), and in-depth analysis per operator, per measurement device, and more.

The benchmarking dashboards enable real-time comparisons between regions with the ability to drill down and view historical trends. Dashboards can be accessed with mobile devices in addition to laptop/desktop computers.

Figure 7. Benchmarking dashboards provide comparative view between operators

The automated data processing chain in Nemo Xynergy efficiently manages large and complex data volumes and processes the data into informative and interactive reports and analytics views. Nemo Xynergy offers canned benchmarking report templates for all 3GPP network technologies and for the most common consumer applications and services. It also offers some advanced competitive analysis views.

Page 12: Keysight Technologies Nemo Xynergy Drive Test

12 | Keysight | Nemo Xynergy Drive Test - Technical Overview

Conditional delta plots enable the comparison of two datasets (e.g. operators) on a map plot per KPI. The delta plots offer interactive and in-depth analysis across operators and devices, and it is possible to plot metrics, events, sync with Layer 3, and more.

Dashboards

Nemo Xynergy offers dynamic, fully customizable dashboards that are accessible via a web browser of a desktop computer or mobile device. The dashboards are used for reporting and data overview in all Nemo Xynergy use cases, including optimization, benchmarking, and site/cluster acceptance.

Instead of offering a simple static display of the data, the content in the dashboards is fully dynamic and interactive. The dashboards can be filtered instantly to a subset of data, all views matching the current selection and showing the relations between different data points. This makes it possible to explore the data in several ways on an ad-hoc basis and to find correlations between the different dimensions of the data.

Rules Engine

Nemo Xynergy Rules Definition Language (RDL) is a database-independent, procedural, and expert system definition language. The unique RDL allows users to define their own rules and effectively apply logic to the normalized data in order to identify new KPIs, troubleshoot issues, and automate processes. Every data source is exposed to the RDL which allows for effective correlation to any of the following outputs:

– Visualization (dashboards, maps, charts, reports, and more.) – Workflow (alerts that can be assigned, resolved, reactivated, and more.) – Microsoft Excel reports (based on fully formatted templates) – Databases (to generate and save analytical/summarized data) – Network elements update scripts/procedures (SON) – Web services (to drive other applications)
