Appetite

• We don’t understand hunger the way the rest of our world does. We don’t often experience the pangs of hunger.

• But blessedness comes in having those hunger pangs when we experience injustice in our world.

• Jesus is the Bread of Life we hunger for. We must develop an appetite for God! We must not live on bread alone, but on every word of God.

Thirst

• We can understand better being thirsty and parched. But are we thirsty for Jesus, the Living Water?

• We are expected to bring a cup of cold water to those who are thirsty. We must be servants to others, bringing righteousness along with that cup of water.

• Righteousness means that everyone involved is treated justly and rightly.

Key of the Kingdom

• Hunger and Thirst are basic needs of the human condition. We must long for and deeply desire God’s righteounsess in our world.

• We must create an appetite in others for God’s righteousness by being righteous to them.

• May our world slowly grow in righteousness and let us be the prime examples of God’s justice!
