The key aspirations of the site-wide landscape strategy are to:
• Enhance existing central green space.• Provide new play facilities.• Provide more variety with a mix of short mown grass areas
and wildflower meadow areas with native bulb planting.• Additional tree planting to assist with the safeguarding and
revival of the Great North Wood.
Improved parking strategy that:
• Create proper spaces to reduce informal parking.• Provides new additional spaces (22).• Better use of existing garages on the estate.• Remove abandoned vehicles on the estate.• Enhances pedestrian safety by separating parking from
pavements.

Gateway to the EstateThe entrance block to the Hillcrest Estate occupying the unused community centre site.
