Challenge: Redesign airport layout to minimize delays, wait time, and missed flights for passengers as a result of TSA security lines.

Delivered: Our team used Arena software to run simulations and cost analyses to develop multiple system layouts that reduce time spent in security lines from 5 – 16 minutes and 1% of passengers missing flights.

Learned: How to lead and communicate with a team, present in front of world recognized researchers, simulate and animate in Arena, and conduct cost analysis for major projects to conclude optimal decisions.

Industrial Cost Analysis Problem: Deltic Timber Sawmill Implementation, Presentation and Research Leader | January 2014-May 2014

Challenge: Research factors such as: cost to open, cost to run, cost to close, products made, etc. for Deltic Timber who considered opening new sawmills around the state of Arkansas.
