Day 1: Tuesday, 7 August
The Fairmont Norfolk Hotel, Nairobi
Nairobi
Nairobi is Africa’s 4th largest city and is a vibrant and exciting place and although it has developed a reputation
which keeps tourist visits brief there are some fascinating attractions: its café culture, unbridled nightlife, the
National Museum, the Karen Blixen Museum and most notably just 20 minutes from the city centre wild lions and
buffalo roam in the world’s only urban game reserve.
Overnight: The Fairmont Norfolk Hotel
Located just minutes from Nairobi’s best attractions, including the home of Karen Blixen, from the Academy Award
winning film ‘Out of Africa’, Fairmont The Norfolk offers luxurious guestrooms and suites, set amidst tropical
gardens. It features plush furniture, flat screen TV, minibar, rainfall showers, and tea and coffee maker.
Built in 1904, the hotel has been completely refurbished with a heated outdoor swimming pool, health club, sauna
and steam rooms with massage facilities, tropical landscaped grounds, and award winning restaurants and bars from
steak and seafood at Tatu restaurant, afternoon tea to Lord Delamere Terrace for international cuisine.
The hotel is walking distance from artisanal craft shops, modern shopping centres, Sheldrick’s Elephant Sanctuary,
National Museums of Kenya and is the launch point for ‘bucket list’ worthy safari tours, which can be organized at
the 24 hour concierge desk.
A free shuttle bus is available to and from Jomo Kenyatta International airport, located 11 miles away. Business
Guests are also offered a complimentary return shuttle ride to their office with free WiFi on board.

Karen Blixen Museum
Karen Blixen Museum
The Karen Blixen Museum was once the home of the Danish author Karen Blixen. The renowned author made
famous by the release of the Oscar winning movie ‘Out of Africa’, based on Karen’s autobiography of the same title.
The museum displays many pieces of the author's furniture and has a splendid view of the Ngong Hills, immortalized
in Karen Blixen's opening line, "I had a farm in Africa at the foot of the Ngong Hills."
The Karen Blixen Museum is open to the public every day, with guided tours on offer. The museum shop features
handicrafts, posters, postcards, the movie ‘Out of Africa’, as well as books and other Kenyan souvenirs.
Overnight: Ol Pejeta House
Once the exclusive ranch house of multi-millionaire Adnan Kashoggi, this magnificently presented house stands at
the centre of the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Set in extensive grounds, with glorious views of Mount Kenya, this
opulent mansion features a series of reception rooms, including an elegant drawing room with baronial fireplace and
a series of scenic verandas, which extend right around the house. The imposing dining room is served by its own
dedicated chef and kitchens, and menus can be tailored exactly to suit our guests' wishes. Accommodation includes
a private guest cottage, two master suites and two guest bedrooms while the grounds include two private swimming

Day 4: Friday, 10 August
Little Governors' Camp, Masai Mara National Reserve
Masai Mara National Reserve
The Masai Mara together with Tanzania’s Serengeti form Africa’s most famous wildlife park. The image of acacia
trees on an endless grass plain epitomises Africa for many, and then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the
picture and the conversation need go no further.
The annual wildebeest migration through the Serengeti and the Masai Mara is the largest mass movement of land
mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. But that is not where the game
viewing ends; large prides of lions, elephants and giraffes in grasslands, gazelles and eland to mention but a few.
Aside from traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential and you
can even do a horseback safari.
Overnight: Little Governors' Camp View iBrochure
The award-winning Little Governors’ is intimate in character, with just 17 luxury ensuite tents dotted around a large
watering hole that teems with both birds and wildlife. The camp is approached by a boat ride across the Mara River,
then an escorted walk through the riverine forest. Vehicles are left on the far river bank, and the camp is therefore
quiet and undisturbed. The guest tents at Little Governors’ have great wooden decks with large verandahs for guests
to enjoy the constant game activity that takes place around the camp’s watering hole. Guests may need to make way
for elephants which sometimes visit the camp at lunch time.
