Bachelor of Science in nurSing (B.S.n.) TradiTional TrackThe traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is four years of study. Students learn through innovative traditional lectures, Web classes and through state-of-the-art, high-tech simulation clinical labs in the Kent State Salem new Health and Sciences Wing. More than 30 different clinical experiences in acute, long-term care and community health care facilities are available in Mahoning and Columbiana counties. Eligible students are admitted each fall semester.

Summer opTion Three-year Bachelor of Science in nurSing (B.S.n.) Kent State Salem offers the four-year nursing  degree on a three-year, eight-semester schedule, for those capable students looking to gain a B.S.N. as quickly as possible. Students currently taking sophomore nursing courses are admitted to the nursing program through the College of Nursing and are eligible to apply to the program after fall semester of their sophomore year.

adn informaTion Kent State University at East Liverpool offers its students an Associate of Applied Science degree in nursing (ADN). For more information on obtaining your associate degree in nursing, please call the campus at 330-385-3805.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) program at Kent State University is accredited by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and is approved by the state of Ohio Board of Nursing.

LEARN WITH THE BEST Educational Opportunities include:

Prerequisites to be completed as a pre-nursing student:

Complete 30 college credit hours

Earn a cumulative GPA of 2.75 of higher

Hold a GPA of 2.75 or higher in the prerequisite sciences:

• BSCI 20020, Structure and Function

• BSCI 20021, Microbiology

• CHEM 10050, Fundamentals of Chemistry

• CHEM 10052, Introduction to Organic Chemistry

Once you complete your prerequisite coursework, submit an online program application for acceptance by the College of Nursing. Applications may be submitted each February for program admission the following fall semester.

Individual advising, program planning and guidance by experienced faculty and staff are key components to success. Clinical experiences are provided at highly recognized health care facilities located throughout Northeast Ohio.
