Us Job Market Weakens by Dick Kroft
The Us labor has released to May 2011 statics with predicted job creation at over 100,000
thousand realistic numbers show a 54,000 thousand gap between the initial forecasts. The
bottom line is the US unemployment rose to 9.1 percent with May being the first month in
the last year and half of when jobs were lost. What does this mean for the residents of
Kendall County where the unemployment rate is just below the national average of 8.6
percent? With the local economy based through housing, commerce, and farming Kendall
County is again looking at a decline this quarter in revenue. With the recent numbers
being released Chicago land property values declined by 8 percent over the last year. With
Regional power house Caterpillar staying put and looking to create manufacturing jobs
could be a silver lining. Leaving more questions than answers how does Kendall county
look to create Jobs.

While you are Out by Ken Musich
This is a first for me and a treat at the same time recently I was asked by the editor of
the paper to write an article for our entertainment section and a piece on a local eatery
boot. I chose Paulie’s bar and grill in Aurora located 444 north Eola Road in Aurora.
When you enter you are greeted by Paulie’s himself a young man of 35. You are then either
asked do you want to sit at a table or bar you are given your choice. I chose to sit at the Bar
and was greeted by Kim a wonderful young women who took the time to ask me how my
day was going. Kim suggested some specials and so I ordered the Cesar Salad. A Healthy
Choice and ordered the Ice Tea. During my meal Paulie’s and Kim both took the time to
see how it was going and Paulie’s even sat down and spent time talking to me about the
Chicago Whites Sox and how the team was doing. I found the service and atmosphere to be
delightful and felt at home even thou I had just stopped in for the first time. Paulie’s has
been serving the neighborhoods for four years and if you ask the patrons they find it
delightful especially the patio that offers seasonal delight with a great atmosphere. For a great night out and lots of fun with excellent food visit Paulie's Today
Sports Editorial by Tim Flowers
A tale of two teams Cubs vs. Sox as we look to the cross town classic the North Side and South Side
find themselves polar opposites. The cubs have gone into a tail spin finding themselves almost 10
games out of first and the Roster looking like a Mash unit with the recent injury bug plaguing the
Cubbies. The White Sox on the other hand looks primed and ready for a run with the Sweep of the

As we look to move into our new home we are excited about bringing you a more interactive look to
the Main Street Market. Over the past few months we have been building relationships with vendors
and other creative outlets that we hope will serve in delivering a better and more useful classified
section here at the Kendall Weekly Times. Since being promoted Main Street Market editor it has
been my goal to provide a service that will benefit the subscriber and the residents of Kendall County.
Once again we look forward to serving you and helping you to find what you need with the Main
Street Market.
