Seven staff, including myself, and a bus full of children proudly headed to town in our uniform and Aboriginal colours to walk side by side in a proud display of what working together for one cause, our children, looks like. Several children and staff were honoured with certificates in recognition of their contribution to Aboriginal Education. Thank you to Lavinnia, Raelene and the team for all of their organisation. In recent weeks there have been a couple of near misses with cars parking in and reversing out of the little laneway off Barina Parkway and the rear exit of the school. This area is only an access point for garbage bins to be collected and cars should not park in this area. The effort you make to walk a few metres from an other parking spot is worth the life of our children. I anticipate your support and thank you for caring. A number of excursions have been planned for students this term and it is anticipated that notes and money are all in by the deadlines. Please note they are due at least three days prior to the excursion for the schools management of the event. If you fail to do this children may well be excluded from the excursion as we may at such late notice be unable to cater for their needs. Additionally we have to address issues of payment from our end and this cannot occur as children depart the school site. Please support us in this and prevent your child from missing out. YEAR SIX GRADUATION This Friday is the last day for all Year Six students to have completed their profile and located a few photos for the power point. Unfortunately if any Year Six student can not fulfil these obligations we will have to leave this part of their celebration absent. Thus we are hoping parents can support the students with what we have requested. Any problems please contact Mrs Cain, Mrs Carr-Smith, Mrs Oates, Mrs Fearn or Mrs Di'Falco.
