Keko yoma wurde imJahr 2004 gegründet.
Durch Auftritte auf den unterschied-lichsten Bühnen, diversen sozialen und kulturellen Veranstaltungen, klei-neren Bars und Locations machte sich die Band in der Musikszene Chiles, insbesondere in den Großstädten Santiago und Valparaiso, einen Na-men.Im Jahr 2008 nahmen Sie ihre erste Platte „El más weon de los caminos“ gemeinsam mit dem bekannten chile-nischen Produzenten Andres Godoy auf.
Die in der musikalischen Landschaft Chiles bereits gut situierte selbstverwaltende Band hat es sich zum Ziel gesetzt, ihre Erfahrungen und somit auch ihr enormes Potential zu erweitern und dem Rest der Welt die volkstümliche Musik Chiles ein Stück näher zu bringen.
In den fünf Jahren ihrer Karriere haben Keko Yoma bereits hunderte Konzerte gegeben (z.B. Vive Latino, Landjuweel Festival Amsterdam, Freigeist Festival Berlin), vier internationale Tourneen gemacht (Europap 2006, Argentina 2007, Europa 2008 und Europa 2009), die Video-Clips zu „El Desatinao“ und „Mi vida se fue por el W.C“ vom Disc N°11 von „Escuelas de Rock“ gedreht und ihr Debut-Album „El más weon de los caminos….die Platte“ produziert.Insgesamt hat die Band 9 Länder, 25 Städte, 10000 Tour-Kilometer, unzählige kleine Bars, ganze Straßen und große Festivals mit ihren Klängen und Choreografien begeistert…stets vom Publikum gefeiert und mit positiven Kritiken in den nationalen und internationalen Medien, die den Wert ihrer Arbeit anerkannt haben.
Momentan arbeiten Keko Yoma an ihrer neuen Platte, deren Veröffentlichung für Juli-August 2010 geplant ist und für die unter anderem während der letzten Europa-Tour 2009 einige Songs in Holland und Spanien aufgenommen wurden.

Casa de locos con cable a tierra suabo
Neu-Ulm. La locura tiene un nombre: Keko Yoma. Bajo este nom-bre una joven banda chilena propaga su derecho a hacer locuras. La Flussmeisterei en Neu-Ulm se convirtió en una casa de locos musicalmente hablando. El público lo encontró tremendo. Vistiendo batas blancas de centros siquiátricos tomaron por asalto el esce-nario, contagiando al público con la consigna „Dance and fly“. Por el „cable a tierra“ que según dicen los dichos es carcacterístico de los suabos, lo de volar se hizo difícil, pero después de un par de canciones de Keko Yoma ya no había quién resistiera: delante del escenario el público se movió al son de una sucesión de estilos musicales: a veces rock, a veces raggae, después cumbia y samba. Hasta Thriller de Michael Jackson fue „latinizado“.
El cantante con cola de vaca brinca por el escenario, como si estuvi-era conectado a un cable de alta tensión, se disfraza a una velocidad sorprendente, suda, canta, salta al público, reúne a los asistentes de-trás suyo como el flautista de Hamelin: un rey entre los animadores. Y nadie se pregunta si este derviche chileno tiene que estar dopado, porque a pesar del alto rendimiento físico, Keko Yoma hace música perfecta. La banda combina rock, punk y ska con un sinfín de in-strumentos de la patria chilena y le encanta tomarle el pelo a éxitos musicales de nivel mundial.Desde el 2004, los chilenos van de continente en continente con sus tours, haciéndose los locos con el público. La Flussmeisterei fue el lugar perfecto para desfogarse en esta cálida tarde veraniega. Un su-abo se sorprendía y alegraba a la vez: „Tanta diversión por tan poca plata“,
