With this presentation I welcome you to come and discuss and practice this with me. I will present a video from a therapy with a highly resistant patient, and show how I work with pressure, challenge and HOC (head on collision) in order to reach the person behind ”all the stuff” (Allan Abbass). We will see how the interventions get tighter with better timing as a result of all the supervision I got, and analyze the responses together. We will also get a chance to observe our own reactions to the patients’ responses and do skill building exercises on the theme of resistance together. Don’t resist your urge to come! When I was learning how to work with the highly resistant patient, I was struck with how much actual force you got to have in your interventions while at the same time being systematic, open and flexible. With this presentation I welcome you to come and discuss and practice this with me.
