WAIVER - Principle 3: Supporting Effective Instruction and Leadership

Implement teacher & principal evaluation & support systems will:• Use for continual improvement of instruction• Use at least 3 performance levels• Use multiple measures including student growth as

significant factor• Evaluate on a regular basis• Provide clear, timely, and useful feedback• Use to inform personnel decisions

Page 78: KEEP Train the Trainer Workshops

Multiple Measures Including Student Growth as a

Significant Factor

Page 79: KEEP Train the Trainer Workshops

Multiple Measures Currently Used

What multiple measures do you currently use?• We are looking at data over time

• We are looking at data that measures more than just academic preparedness, such as 21st Century Skills

• We are creating a list that provides examples of student growth in achievement

79

Page 80: KEEP Train the Trainer Workshops

80

Multiple Measures

• Use Multiple Measures including student growth as significant factor.• Other than State Assessments, what measures can we use

to show student growth in achievement? • Possible Examples:

• Student Portfolio’s• Local Assessments• Pre-Post testing• MAPS• Instances of Reported Bullying• Lexile Reading Scores

Page 81: KEEP Train the Trainer Workshops

Suggestions of Multiple Measures

Co-Construct the Evaluation

• Multiple Measures– Selection– Validation– Use

• Significant Student Growth– Determining significant– Establishing timeline for growth
