November 12, 2015 For immediate release. KCM ANNOUNCES ADDITION OF NEW GROUP PROGRAMS FOR 2016 Today, Kingdom Community Ministries (KCM) announced plans to launch three new group-based programs. Dr. Michael Mannia, D.Min., President of KCM said, “Our mission is to bring people into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ, and to help them overcome the crippling effects of sin and guilt. One method of accomplishing this mission is to formulate group-based programs to meet the specific needs of our community.” An example of this approach can be seen through KCM’s BoldLove program for adult female survivors of sexual abuse. Headed-up by Dr. Jennifer Anderson, D.Min., BoldLove has worked with hundreds women to overcome the crippling effects of their abuse, and to move-on and live a life filled with a spirit of power, love, and sound-mind (see II Timothy 1:7). In 2016, KCM will launch our KidsFirst program. The focus will be to address challenges children face while growing-up in challenging situations, such as: abuse, addiction, bullied, divorce, etc. KidsFirst will teach group members how to identify feelings and to work through them in ways that align with God’s Word. Dr. Mannia noted, “This will be a fun, safe, interactive group program for children to learn how to better cope with their emotions, develop social skills, build self-esteem through Christ, and to learn age- appropriate methods for communicating.” Also slated for launch in 2016 will be KCM’s StandFirm group-based program. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, some 40 million adults in the U.S. suffer from clinical anxiety. This means close to 20 percent of the adult population in any given church community is affected. As followers of Christ Jesus, the apostle Paul challenged us to stand firm against the evil of this world (see Ephesians 6:10-17). But one’s ability to do just that can be seriously hampered when anxiety is involved. KCM’s StandFirm program seeks to address the issues of anxiety through a comprehensive, Christ-centered, Scripturally-rooted approach that is focused on developing a spirit of power, love, and sound-mind (see II Timothy 1:7). Finally, this next year KCM will implement its VICTORS program for adult male survivors of sexual abuse. One in every five males in the U.S. are survivors of molestation. The issues that result from this form of abuse are no less devastating for males than they are for females. Yet, far too many male survivors suffer in silence. And suffer they do, with higher rates of spiritual oppression, addiction, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. VICTORS will be an intensive, closed-group 5330 Office Center Court | Suite #27 | Bakersfield, CA. 93309 Ph: 661.324.4070 | Web: www.kcmcounseling.com So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. - Colossians 2:6, 7

KCM ANNOUNCES ADDITION OF NEW GROUP PROGRAMS FOR 2016

Today, Kingdom Community Ministries (KCM) announced plans to launch three new group-based programs. Dr. Michael Mannia, D.Min., President of KCM said, “Our mission is to bring people into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ, and to help them overcome the crippling effects of sin and guilt. Also slated for launch in 2016 will be KCM’s StandFirm group-based program. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, some 40 million adults in the U.S. suffer from clinical anxiety. This means close to 20 percent of the adult population in any given church community is affected. So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.                                            - Colossians 2:6, 7

program specifically geared toward healing the hurt and overcoming the crippling effects of molestation, in part by bringing the unfruitful works of darkness out into the light of Christ (see Ephesians 5:11). As with every endeavor here at KCM, VICTORS will be Christ-centered and Scripturally-rooted (see Hebrews 7:25).

Dr. Mannia wrapped-up by asserting: “We believe God will move mightily in the lives of those who attend these programs. For He is our Great Physician. These programs and the Ministers He calls to facilitate are the means of delivery, but to God go the glory for the healing and transformation group members will experience. We are eager to get started!” For more information, contact KCM today at 661.324.4070, ext. 301, or email Dr. Mannia at [email protected].
