A Santa Barbara kayak tour is a great introduction to this exciting sport. Learn about Santa Barbara’s natural history and marine ecology, as well as local trivia during this fun and exhilarating day on the water. This full day of paddling offers spectacular views of the city and beaches from a unique perspective - on the water! 

everyone in paddle jackets and life vests for the day. Instructors will give a basic paddling demonstration and safety talk before setting out on the water.

Once on the water, guests will paddle approximately 2 miles along the coast surrounded by beautiful beaches and marine life. The group will paddle through the harbor, paddling past boats, through the historic wharf, under the pier, out to buoys, and along the beach. There is an abundance of wildlife along the way - such as harbor seals, sea lions, brown pelicans, sea stars, cormorants, and of course sea gulls. 

Served on the beach, lunch is an enjoyable deli spread with lots of options including crisp, locally grown veggies, deli quality lunchmeat and a selection of fresh breads. Beverages and water will be provided.

Discussions of natural history and marine ecology, local trivia and current hot spots will be offered throughout the day. Additionally, guides can provide a teambuilding element with initiatives, games, and more in depth paddle challenges.
