NOTIFICATION

No.VAT.CR/Ol/2007-08 , 22nd September 2007.

Whereas, in this off ice notif ication of even number dated 25th March 2007 and 31stMarch 2007,the Local

VAT Offices(LVOs) located w ithin Bangalore City w ere reorganized and registered dealers w ere

assigned to the said off ices on the basis of their locations determined in terms of postal PIN codes.

How ever, for w ant of off ice space this exercise could not be accomplished satisfactorily in respect of

some of the areas. Now , the department has procured off ice spaces in V.V.Tow ers on Ambedkar Veedhi

for LVO-020, New BMTC Bus stand on Mysore Road for LVO-060 and KASSIA building on, Magadi Chord

Road for LVO-070. The dealers are therefore re-assigned to the Local VAT off ices on the basis of their

locations determined in t7rms of postal PIN codes in the follow ing manner:

If any new PIN Code is formed by the Postal Department bifurcating or merging an existing PIN code area,

dealers in such area shall continue to be w ith the same LYO. PIN code of the rural areas adjoining the areas

notif ied as above are not clear. Dealers in these areas should get themselves registered w ith the LVOs to

w hich the adjoining PIN code areas have been attached.

The above changes w ill come into force w ith effect from 1stOctober 2007.
