Karen's Willis Holmes Story

Karen Willis Holmes is a renowned Australian bridal designer, widely acclaimed in the fashion marketplace for offering trend conscious women their perfect wedding gown. Originally from England, Karen moved to Australia with her family where she studied fashion design and manufacturing. Returning to London, Karen worked with companies specialising in evening and special occasion day wear before moving back to Australia to open a store designing evening wear. Karen moved to Sydney and founded the KAREN WILLIS HOLMES brand in 2000 creating couture pieces for her clients. In 2004, following the success of the couture label, Karen branched out to design the Bespoke Bridal Collection. This collection resonates with clients who require a wedding gown with hand crafted couture quality, fit and sophistication, but with the price and ease of a ready to wear wedding dress.

The KWH by KAREN WILLIS HOLMES bridal gown range a is entirely ready to wear and can be purchased off the rack, like normal fashion clothes in that they come in standard sizes and are not made to order. These wedding gowns are designed in Sydney, Australia by Karen and hand beaded in India by a team of artisans. These bridal gowns are available at all of our KAREN WILLIS HOLMES bridal stores, including our New York boutique in Soho and at our stockists in Australia and internationally.

COUTURE Bridal Gowns Collection

The KAREN WILLIS HOLMES Couture wedding gowns are completely made to

measure, one-off designer bridal gowns. These wedding gowns take five fittings

starting with a calico toile and you can have anything you would like. We start with a

one and a half hour consultation to work together to design your perfect couture

wedding gown.

It of course depends what you do decide upon design wise to the cost, but the average

price of a couture bridal gown is between $8,000 - $16,000.
