Child, Adolescent, and Family Expert Panel, American Academy of Nursing, Member (October 2016 to Present) The expert panel identifies key issues in the area of child, adolescent, and family health for policy development. The panel recommends actions to the Board as well as new connections the Academy should develop, especially as these apply to national policy.

• In late 2018, Dr. Foli participated in a select contingent of CAF Expert Panel members to work with the Oscar-award winning producer, Deborah Oppenheimer and three-time Oscar-winning writer/director Mark Jonathan Harris in a social media campaign for Foster, a documentary which HBO acquired worldwide rights to. This documentary will be released in 2019 and which is described by Oppenheimer as: In our film, we follow children and youth in Los Angeles county, using archetypal stories to represent child protection everywhere. Our film is meant to be realistic but hopeful. It is a call to action.

National Permanency Network, Member, Research and Evaluation Sub-Committee, Member (May 2016 to May 2017) The National Permanency Network (NPN) was developed in June, 2015. The goal of this national network was to facilitate the formation, development, and sustainment of relationships between various organizations and sectors focused on the betterment and support of adoptive and guardianship families. The Research and Evaluation Sub-Committee of NPN sought to expand the dissemination and usage of research regarding post-adoption services.
