They are not to be handed to Mr Harding but students need to log on to the network in the school for approximately an hour. CAREERS CORNER

Year 10 Job Interview Day All Year 10 students will participate in a mock interview on Wednesday June 27, 2012. Interviewers are drawn from the community, including employers, recruitment agencies, Group Training companies and the University. The purpose of this day is to give all Year 10 students the skills, knowledge and experience needed to perform well in future interviews, either for job search or further education.

The interview is an English Assessment Task that is compulsory and contributes towards the yearly mark in English. In the weeks before Job Interview Day, students will:

Choose a job advertisement from the list provided

Prepare a letter of application and Resume

Learn interview skills in class

Prepare a Personal File to bring along on Interview Day

Check the noticeboard to find out your exact interview time and

location

On the day of the Interview, students will:

Attend school only for the time of their interview

Be dressed in clothes suitable for a formal interview

Bring a Personal File with copies of your Resume, Letter, Merits, School

Reports and other Certificates which should be organised by Monday evening.

Come half an hour early

Go home afterwards

Last Friday we had another successful SRC Mufti day and raised over $300. Thank you to all those who donated a gold coin, it was a small token of generosity but together it makes a big difference. We also need to make a special mention of all those who were brave and dressed up. We had some wild rockers turn up on the day such as ZZ Tops, Janis Joplin, Johnny Cash......and whoever Dave was!! You know it’s going to be a good day when the field is being mowed by a guy in a sparkling blue vinyl suit! It is efforts like this that ensures an enjoyable day for all involved. Grant Knowles
