Kampa® AirFrame Technology

The future in your handsAfter years of development, Kampa® AirFrame tents were introduced to the market several years ago and have revolutionised the way we camp. Gone are the traditional metal or fibreglass poles, replaced by strong, high pressure inflatable AirFrame poles. No more struggling with the tent frame and trying to find the correct pole, the AirFrame is already attached to the tent for simple set up.

So how does it work?It’s simple, traditional poles have been replaced with an inflatable AirFrame that is always attached to the tent. This creates an exceptionally strong structure, probably stronger than a steel frame. It can be inflated using the supplied high volume manual pump or, for the ultimate in ease, with the optional Breeze electric pump. An AirFrame can be pumped up in less than 60 seconds using the manual pump.

Other advantagesAs well as being the easiest tent to set up, it’s also the easiest to take down.

The inner tents can be kept connected to the tent, saving time for set up and take down.

With no metal or fibreglass poles there’s nothing to damage the fabric of your tent.

The AirFrame is always attached – you’re never going to forget or lose your poles.

Whilst the AirFrame is very rigid it does flex in the windmeaning that you’ll never break or bend a pole.

As befitting what are some of the best tents available today, Kampa® AirFrame tents are manufactured using top class materials and workmanship.

What happens if the AirFrame is damaged?The AirFrame is incredibly durable and under normal conditions will not fail. Each AirPole is made of a strong TPU inflation tube that is zipped into a tough reinforced polyester cover. This is then zipped into a heavy duty polyester sleeve in the tent. The inflation tubes are well protected and need no maintenance. Ideal operating pressure is between 7-9 psi and the poles are tested to 22 psi, a pressure that is not possible to reach using the supplied pump or the optional electric pump. Should one of the AirPoles be damaged, it is simple to remove the pole and then a simple repair or replacement can be made.

The material is specially treated to offer advanced protection against UV degradation and is fire retardant.

WeathershieldTM Airflow Classic polycotton materialA breathable high quality polycotton material that provides all the protection of our polyester materials whist also offering superior comfort. Our Classic material allows the tent to breathe which reduces condensation and helps regulate the temperature keeping the inside of the tent cooler on warm days. Don’t be fooled by the coated polycotton materials used by some manufacturers as the coating prevents the material from breathing and therefore removes the benefits.

QuickPitch™ Guying SystemNo more faffing around with your tent guy lines, heavy duty straps replace traditional guy ropes with a unique twist - they can be pegged out in seconds. Simply peg so that the bottom strap is taught and adjust the top strap with the buckle to apply tension. This system removes around 50% of the pegging required as most pegging points at the base of the tent are no longer required.

Sewn-in GroundsheetProtects from inclement weather, bugs and other creepy crawlies throughout the entire tent. The tent is manufactured so that the seam between groundsheet and flysheet is protected from the elements.

STUDLAND 8 AIR

Our flagship model showcasing all that’s best in Kampa tents. The Studland offers supreme accommodation for up to eight people. Despite its size the Studland is as easy to set up as all our AirFrame tents - peg the four corners, inflate the AirFrame, secure the QuickPitch™ straps – that’s it. The six berth inner tent sits at the back of the tent and can be divided into three separate bedrooms if required. A separate two berth inner tent sits in the front of the living area and can be set up or taken down as required - increasing sleeping accommodation or living space accordingly.

The large living room has plenty of headroom making it feel spacious and the fully sewn in groundsheet will keep you protected. There’s two side doors into the main living room, both with mesh screen panels and one with a canopy to allow access during inclement weather. The front panel of the living room can be used as a door or completely rolled back to give unhindered access to the large enclosed front vestibule area. The front panel of the porch area mimics the living area panel and can be progressively rolled back until fully open. The vestibule area has a toggle-in tub groundsheet that can be used if required. BERGEN 6 AIR

The ultimate six berth AIR tent. Comfortably sleeping six people with its extra wide width and superior headroom, the Bergen offers the best in camping and makes other tents look small by comparison.

The six berth inner tent features a wider master bedroom in the centre with two side bedrooms with fully zipped dividers on either side. Darkened materials are used for the inner tent to reduce early morning light permeation, with plenty of ventilation to help prevent condensation.

The large living room offers flexibility with two large wall panels that can be used as a door or fully rolled back allowing the entire tent to be opened up. These walls can also be used to create a larger living area or front canopy. A unique feature of the Bergen is the tall side pod extension that offers additional “out of sight” storage space with a zipped divider and its own weather protected ventilation.

CROYDE 6 AIR

A Kampa® classic, the Croyde 6 is available in several different specifications. This is the inflatable version that we offer in two superb flysheet materials - a heavy duty WeathershieldTM 150D polyester flysheet or a breathable Airflow polycotton version. Both offer a superb camping experience with a high level of specification. At the rear you’ll find the large bedrooms, in a 2+2+2 configuration and in front of these is a large living area with a fully sewn in groundsheet keeping the weather and bugs at bay. The front of the tent offers a truly flexible space. It can be incorporated into the main living area to give an exceptionally large interior space or it can divided off to create another room. Rolling back the front panel makes a large sun canopy. It is also a great area for kicking off your shoes before entering the main living area.

It takes only minutes to pump the tent up and a similar time to fully deflate, effortlessly, before rolling up and packing into the oversized carry bag. The high pressure AirFrame provides a sturdy structure that will cope with the worst of the weather, especially when combined with the storm tie downs that are included for each corner.

New for 2017 is the ability to add an inner tent in the living area, a great option when you have extra guests to accommodate.

Over the years the Hayling has become a firm favourite with campers across Europe and its success is due to its exceptional specification at a truly remarkable price and the inflatable AirFrame version does not disappoint in either category. Set up is as easy as our other AirFrame tents – peg the tent down and pump up the AirPoles – simple.

Once set up there’s loads of living space for a family. The rear bedrooms feature a zipped partition between the compartments that can be rolled up to make one large bedroom. There’s a large living area with a sewn-in groundsheet and a large door in the left hand side with a mosquito mesh screen panel that can be used to keep the bugs out on warm days. The living area has a horizontal front wall that allows full use of the floor area giving so much more space than a sloping front wall. The outstanding feature of this tent is the large built-in front canopy protecting the front door from inclement weather and providing loads of covered living space.

New for 2017 is the option of fitting an extra canopy. The canopy zips onto the front of the tent and can be enclosed, if required, using the Vestibule. The Vestibule can also be fitted directly to the front of the tent. This flexibility allows you to tailor the tent to suit your needs for each holiday.

The best value for money polycotton inflatable tent available on the market. Great for short or long stays, the Brean AIR is ideal for touring, couples and family use. Thanks to the Kampa® AirFrame, the Brean AIR can be completely set up in just minutes. The built-in front canopy, now with an aluminium pole, creates a wet weather entrance, protecting the front of the tent from inclement weather. Looking from the outside, a side entrance can be found on the right hand side panel. This side door can be zipped back to a secondary large mesh panel to allow a breeze through the tent, whilst keeping out those pesky insects! Other ventilation can be found on the left hand side panel above the window, above the front door, at the rear of the tent and each side of the bedroom. All of the ventilation can be closed, with the exclusion of the front vent which is covered by the front canopy.

The Brean AIR features a fully sewn-in groundsheet and the inner tent can be divided by a zipped curtain that can be rolled away if not required. An organiser can be found on the front wall of the inner tent and more personal organiser pockets can be found inside. The combination of the colour scheme on the flysheet and inner tent creates a relatively darkened sleeping area for a better night’s sleep and the windows feature easy to stow blinds that can be tucked away into deep storage pockets when not in use.

WATERGATE 8 AIRA classic tent design, the Watergate is what’s known as a vis-à-vis tent – the two bedrooms face each other with a large living area in-between. The impressive windows make the interior feel light and airy with plenty of headroom. Access comes from the two large side doors, one of which has a protective wet weather canopy for access during inclement weather and both have a secondary mesh door to keep the bugs at bay. This is a large tent, suitable for up to eight adults, but its practical shape means that it will fit most camp site pitches.

Unlike some similar models, the Watergate does not taper at the ends making the tent larger inside, especially the bedrooms. Complete with a fully sewn-in groundsheet to keep the weather and insects outdoors.

A superb tent packed full of useful features; the Paloma offers a tunnel tent design but in a more compact package.

Weather protected ventilation can be found at the front and rear of the tent and the large front canopy further adds to the space this tent gives you as well as giving you a large weather protected entrance to the tent.

The spacious living area is further enhanced by the large Crystal Clear windows and mesh side door. If you’re in the mood for more privacy, blinds stored in easy-store pockets beneath the windows can be used to cover the windows.

This is the Series 3 version of the popular and highly rated Croyde. The Series 3 retains all of the best features of the previous models but has some superb new features, the most obvious of which is the modern colour scheme and the upgraded waterproofing which is now 5000mm. The Croyde is packed with ideas to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. The tent has a fully sewn-in groundsheet to keep the weather and bugs out and the warmth in. Inside you’ll find a large inner tent that, if required, can be divided into three bedrooms by using the zipped privacy curtains. The inner tent has loads of storage, both in the interior pockets and also in the organiser built into the front. The upright front wall allows full use of all the interior space and you’ll appreciate the generous headroom that provides a spacious interior.

The front of the tent is protected by the large built-in sun canopy that you can shade under on those sunny days and as it’s an integral part of the tent, it is sturdier and less fiddly to set up unlike some add-on canopies. If not required or in stormy conditions, it can simply be stowed away. The striking grey colour with a light grey roof keeps the interior light and airy.

The Brean is a superb tent that is ideal for touring and couples. It offers fantastic headroom for a compact sized tent and utilises fibreglass poles for a lightweight and easy setup. The shape of the tent creates a good standing height with plenty of headroom and because of the upright front wall the living area is spacious and very usable. This feeling of spaciousness is further enhanced by the large windows in the front and left hand side of the tent and the large side door that also combines a mosquito mesh panel, great for keeping the tent interior ventilated but the bugs out.

PARTY TENT AIRBringing you the latest concept in party tent design – the inflatable party tent.

Gone are those difficult to handle steel poles, replaced by an extremely strong inflatable frame, making set up and take down so simple. No more struggling with the frame and trying to find the correct pole, the AirFrame is already attached to the Party Tent AIR for simple, one step set up. The individual poles are linked together so that you can pump at just one single point and inflate the entire structure. The rigid AirFrame creates an exceptionally strong construction, probably stronger than a steel frame. It can be inflated using the supplied high volume manual pump or, for the ultimate in ease, an optional electric pump.

Available in three sizes: 4 x 4, 4 x 6 and 4 x 8 metres.

Other advantagesAs well as being the easiest party tent to set up, it’s also the easiest to take down.

The Party Tent AIR is much lighter than those with conventional steel poles.

The tent packs down into a more compact size and with no steel poles the pack size is much shorter. A 4 x 6 metre tent will fit into the boot of a medium sized hatchback.

The AirFrame is always attached - you’re never going to forget or lose your poles.

Whilst the AirFrame is very rigid it can flex in the wind meaning that you’ll never break or bend a pole.
