Step 1 — B001/UB001 Standard Base Clamp

First familiarize yourself with theterminology of the Beyond AdaptiveUB001 Standard Base Clamp.

Step 2

The Wedge Insert is used when the clamp will be attached to flat surfaces such as the edge of adesk, table, or square tubing.

To use the Wedge Insert first remove the wedge from its storage position on the Clamp RemovalKnob.

Next place the wedge in the v-notch of the clamp opening making sure to push it firmly into place.




Step 3

To remove the UB001 Standard Base Clamp for a Beyond Adaptive Mounting Arm begin byloosening the Clamp Removal Knob.

Next press the Clamp Removal Button and pull the arm post out of the Arm Receiver.

To reattach the Standard Base Clamp to a Beyond Adaptive Mounting Arm simply reverse thesesteps.

When reinserting the arm make sure to align the flat surface of the arm post with the ClampRemoval Knob so the screw tightens against that surface.




Step 4

To attach the clamp to a round tube the Wedge Insert should be in its storage position on theClamp Removal Knob. The v-notch on the clamp opening helps the clamp secure firmly to roundor oval tubes or other objects as well as larger flat surfaces.

Place the opening of the clamp over the object you wish to clamp it to.

Tighten clamp by turning the Clamp Adjustment Knob clockwise until firmly secured.

Step 5

To attach the clamp to a flat or square object the Wedge Insert should be placed in the v-groove.

Position the clamp over the object you wish to secure it to.

Tighten the Clamp Adjusting Knob clockwise until the clamp is securely fixed the the surface.

Clamp removal knob must be kept tightened to avoid damage to arm post




Step 6 — K010 Variable Friction Arm use

Begin by learning the terminology ofthe various components on VariableFriction Mounting Arm.

Step 7

To adjust the Variable Friction Armloosen the Adjustment Knob byturning it counter clockwise until alljoints are loose.

Always make sure to hold yourDevice Cradle (if present) beforeloosening any joint on a BeyondAdaptive Arm. Failure to follow thisinstruction could result in damage toyour Device or Mount.

Position the arm where you needand re-tighten the Adjustment Knobuntil the arm is secure.

The Variable Friction arm has a 360degree range of motion for unlimitedpossible positioning.




Step 8

Both end joints have a notch in theside. This joint enables you to movethe clamp or cradle to a 90° angle tothe arm tubes

You may need to rotate the clamp orcradle into the notch to reach yourdesired position.

This arm works in conjunction with aclamp and cradle to mount your upto 6.6 lb (3kg) device. The arm has areach of almost 21” (53.0 cm).




Step 9 — How to Attach a Beyond Adaptive Device Cradle to a Mounting Arm

Begin by getting familiar withterminology by reviewing thefollowing component names.

Quick Release Plate

Quick Release Receiver

Release Lever

Locking Pin

Device Cradle

Make sure the quick release is readyto receive the cradle by opening thelever. It should be in the positionshown.

Orient the cradle so the quickrelease plate aligns with the smallertab towards the bottom of thereceiver.




Step 10

Insert the smaller tab of the quick release plate (the piece attached to the cradle) into the lowerportion of the quick release receiver.

Rotate the top of the quick release plate back in to the quick release receiver until the release leversnaps closed. You may have to wiggle the plate slightly to get the lever to close all the way.




Step 11

Secure the quick release by rotatingthe brass lock pin clockwise (as youare looking at the back of thecradle).

When the locking pin is in the lockposition you will not be able to openthe release lever.

To remove the cradle unlock therelease lever by rotating the lockingpin counterclockwise. Then releasethe cradle by opening the releaselever.

Always remember to hold the devicecradle when releasing the quickrelease to prevent accidentaldamage to the device or mountingarm.

Step 12 — C001/UC001 Basic Cradle for iPad1,2,3
