Mixed production makes high demands on the flexi-bility, performance and efficiency of a machine. The Cincom K series proves its worth in every aspect. Its particular strength lies in the production of high-accuracy complex parts up to 16 mm diameter in small to medium batch sizes. Next to short set-up times, the K series also offers high productivity & efficiency thanks to faster rapid feedrates, improved axis deceleration/acceleration times of the axes, and faster program processing provided by the new Fanuc Control 31i.
A rigid machine bed combined with main spindle oil cooling increase the thermal stability and thus the precision of the machine. Due to the flexible modu-lar tool holder system, holders for virtually any application are available. Type VII offers a total of 18 tools, 4 of which are rotary. Type VI offers a total of 17 tools, 4 of which are rotary. With its small footprint of just 1.13 x 1.88 m, this machine of-fers a very compact and space-saving design.

The new Fanuc Control 31i dramatically increases processing speed thus reducing non-cutting time. Newly developed overlapping processes and the di-rect spindle indexing shorten part production times. The CNC is equipped with a 7.2“ LCD monitor.
The electronic handwheel permits even CNC begin-ners to quickly and safely operate the machine and prove-out new programs. A PCMCIA card slot next to the monitor simplifies the import/export as well as storage of programs.

The new K series offers outstanding highproductivity and efficiency thanks to faster rapidfederates, improved axis deceleration/accelerationtimes and faster program processing provided byCitizen’s own software in combination with the new Fanuc 31i control unit. Processing speed is twice as fast as that of the predecessor model.
Rapid feed rates are extremely fast at up to 34 m/min. Outstandingly smooth acceleration/dece-leration to the high rapid feed rate is achieved in the same time as the previous model, contributing to further cycle time reduction.

Overlap movement to reduce cycle timeAs one tool retracts, the next tool simultaneously advances to the position for the next machining command.
Overlap sequenceCitizen’s special software shortens the tool path during non-cutting retract/move back/ advance movements. This example shows the time saving during screw-threading cycle.

Quality and flexibility
Versatile accessories like chip conveyor, workpiece conveyor and long parts adapter, facilitate the handling of finished parts as well as the automatic disposal of chips from the machine. High pressure coolant systems allow the optimised cooling of tools and an intel-ligent control of chips in case of hard-to-cut materials.
K Series Accessories
High-pressure pump State-of-the-art cutting tools increase the demand on cooling lubricants and coolant systems. With the new generation of stationary high-pressure units, volume flows of up to 30 ltrs/min under pressures of max. 150 bar can now be achieved. The highest version allows for the connection of up to 10 inde-pendent high-pressure lines.
