A revolutionary new way to stream music.

A rtists have had enough. What was the issue? Artists not getting

what they deserve from the work they made. Streaming ser-

vices like Pandora and Spotify have given millions the option to listen

to their favorite artists for free. However, Pandora, Spotify and other

services have not given artists their royalties from their work. Only a

minimal percentage of royalty from the songs being streamed have

gone to the actual artists. Where does most of the money go to?

Anonymous executives that run streaming services. Pharrell Williams

who has gotten over 100 million streams on Spotify for one of his

songs has only received $2700 from his song being played. The situa-

tion is even worse for indie/underground artists who only receive

about $90 for the thousands of streams they get for their music.

Jay Z bought the company

Aspiro which holds Tidal for

$56 million dollars. Aspiro

currently has 500 million paid

subscribers. Tidal , as of

December 2014, has 12,000

paid subscribers.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has made it clear to

Spotify and the public that her

music will not be streamed on

their services without the ap-

propriate payout to artists who

have spent their time and ener-

gy into their art forms. She has

allowed for her music to be

used for streaming in Tidal as it

gives an opportunity for artist

to receive the appropriate pay-

out and spotlight that they de-

serves especially to indie/

underground artists.

ing service is directly owned by

K’s new makeover: Aya Jones

O ur top makeup artists here at K headquarters gave model Aya

Jones subtle changes in her makeup before her walk in the Bur-

berry S/S 15 show started. We added slight color to her cheeks using

IMAN Luxury Blushing Powder ($11, IMAN Website) in the shade

Peace. Her lips were given a coat of MAC Lipstick in the shade Matte

Smoked Purple ($16, MAC stores). We filled and shaped her eyebrows

using Urban Decay Brow Box ($29, Sephora). Her dark brown locks

were given a touch of color using L’Oreal Paris Feria Multi-Faceted

Shimmering Color Highlights, Semi-permanent in the color Bronze

Shimmer ($9, Drugstores). Looking glam with small but huge changes

in her makeup, Aya was ready to rock the runway. Send us pics of

Met Gala: China: Through

The Best...

Beyoncé's stunning Riccardo Tisci was a

jaw dropper at this year’s Met Gala. The

nude illusion tulle dress was dyed specifi-

cally in Queen B’s skin tone and nicely

matched with the glamour and luxury of

Lorraine Schwartz’s diamonds.

Rihanna’s epic and amazing dress was spe-

cially crafted by designer Guo Pei, in the

past two years. The 27 year old singer stat-

ed that she encountered this stunner

while searching through the internet. The

55 lbs. dress was the only gown that was

actually designed by a Chinese designer.

Met Gala: China: Through The Looking Glass...

Zendaya’s remarkable and impressive dress

was custom designed by Fausto Puglisi with a

plunging black velvet bodice and crimson silk

duchesse asymmetric skirt hand-embroidered

with crystal and velvet sun motifs and

matched with custom Jack Vartanian black dia-

mond studs and rings by Lydia Courteille,

Pasquale Bruni and Casa Reale.

Shu Pin Qin’s flawless gown was custom de-

signed by famed designer, Tommy Hilfiger. “It

isn’t a really traditional Chinese dress, but

they’ve added some Chinese details,” says Qin,

“a deep neckline with gold beading and a bright

red color.” The gown greatly complimented the

model’s figure giving a nice silhouette earning

her one the best dressed at this year’s Gala.

Janelle Monaé’s glamourous ensemble

was designed by H&M and was matched

with beautiful Nicholas Kirkwood shoes,

a Rodo clutch, Jack Vartanian ear cuffs,

a Carla Amorim bracelet and ring, and Le

Vian rings. Looking good there, Ms.

Monaé!

Kris Jenner disappoints this year with her gala

gown. Her gown looks bunchy due to the

shoulder padding making her lose her great

figure. Better luck next year, Kris!

Jennifer Lopez’s gown is stunning but it di-

minishes her own beauty as it clashes with

her body’s natural figure. She could also jazz

up the outfit with some accessories. Still look-

ing good there, J-Lo!

Katy, Katy, Katy. The outfit is completely off

and it doesn’t attempt to fit in with this

year’s theme of China, the look could have

gone well with the theme from 2 years ago,

Punk. Might wanna fire your stylist, Katy!

Sarah Jessica Parker’s gown looks amazing

however her headdress draws the attention

away from the flawlessness of Sarah’s beauty

and the gown. Still fans though, Sarah!

Alicia Keys disappoints this year with the over

simplicity of her gown this year. The gown does

not go along with the theme and the jacket Ali-

cia wore draws away from the allure of her

whole look. Might wanna try harder next year,

Alicia!
