Our theme for this new season is ‘movements’ – and we invite you to join us at any of the events and classes you find here. Whichever you decide to choose, we guarantee two things: you will receive a very warm welcome and you will not be disappointed.
We asked you what you would like us to offer for this season. We have listened and created a programme that contains a wide range of classes and events.
The thread linking them all is ‘movements’ – on the artistic, musical, historical and political level – from practical How To... workshops to participatory text studies, from dance to creative relating, from working on your mind to working on your heart, from music to movies. Oh, and you might even be given a cup of tea too. So do take a look and book.
JW3 is a non-profit charitable community centre and arts venue, reliant on the generosity of donors.

Matt Plen (Chief Executive, Masorti Judaism UK) explores arguably the most important Jewish movement of modern times during these two sessions. Zionism radically reshaped the demography, politics, identity and even religion of the Jewish people. We’ll be investigating how and why the idea of modern Jewish statehood emerged, what the leaders of the new movement disagreed about, why it’s useful to think about Zionisms rather than Zionism and what impact these ideologies have had – and are still having – on the modern State of Israel. A cup of tea is included.
