What is Justice Justice = The quality of being fair and

reasonable. However, Justice, in the traditional cowboy terms, is not easily served. Events in the novel indicates that incidents occurred because characters may have deserved given treatment such as Death of Curley’s wife.

Chapter 1

“ Well look Lennie if you jus happen to get in trouble like you always done before, I want you to come right here and hide in the brush.

Foreshadowing Could be a way of telling the reader that Lennie could cause trouble.

Hiding from Justice, if trouble occurs also escaping from treatment.
