UNWTO, Barometer Jan 2020

Based on current trends, economic prospects and the UNWTO Confidence Index, UNWTO

forecasts a growth of 3% to 4% in international tourist arrivals worldwide in 2020.

UNWTO, 6 Mar 2020

UNWTO has revised its 2020 prospects to a negative growth of 1% to 3%, translating into an estimated loss of US$ 30 to 50* billion in

international tourism receipts.

*29-45 mrd €. UNWTO underscores that any estimate must be treated with caution and is likely to be updated.
