MWR will once again host FreedomFest aboard NAS Meridian on June 28, 2013. Thanks to Presenting Sponsors Meridian Regional Airport Authority and Meridian Aviation fireworks will fill the night skies high above NAS Meridian. “Without the generosity of the Meridian Regional Airport Authority and Meridian Aviation, the event, which is in its third year, would have been cancelled due to lack of finding,” said Dave Atkins, MWR Director. Gates open at 1700 on June 28 and will feature live music by “Good Hope Goulash” and others. Patrons can also expect a wide variety of food from vendors such as Squealers, Subway, Chic-Fil-A, Ben Jones Catfish Domino’s Pizza and Sno-Biz Shaved Ice. The event will also feature a play zone with inflatables and extreme rides for all to enjoy. After FreedomFest concludes, Rudders will be open from 2115-0100 and will feature live music.
