Special thanks to all who contributed to make our BlockParty an amazing success. For those who donated

supplies, we could not have done it without you. For thosewho donated time, again, without you this would have

been impossible. For those who were here to support andgreet the neighborhood, you are sowing seeds for the

kingdom. Be prayerful, as God brings the increase!

    THOUGHTS FROM BRAD

I want to thank everyone for making our

BLOCK PARTY a success. Because ofyour generosity, we were able to keepour expenditures at a minimum. We didnot have to buy any freezer pops, hot

dogs, buns or water bottles. Well donechurch! Many of you stepped up and

volunteered your time as you assistedwith setting up and tearing downequipment both on Wednesday andThursday. Well done church! Many ofyou volunteered during the event andmade our visitors feel welcome. Well

done church! Many worked hard makingsure our music was uplifting and inviting.Well done church! We had anopportunity to meet up to about 50visitors because God suspended the rainand he blessed the efforts of His faithfulpeople. Well done church and well doneGod!

I ask that you pray for every person wemet who may need Jesus Christ as theirSavior and who may need a church

    home.

This week, pray for our VBS. Pray for thechildren we meet and pray for thechildren of this church that they will grow

in their faith in Jesus Christ. Pray for ourvolunteers that God will use them to

impact ALL the children in a mighty way.

I leave you with this final thought today:If a man had half as much foresight ashe has twice as much hindsight, hed bea lot better off (Robert Burdette).

    Have a great week!

Last week in Childrens Church, w

learned about Samson and his incredibstrength. After having an arm wrestlin

competition, we decided that none of u

are as strong as Samson. But where d

Samson get his great strength? Fro

God! When Samson stopped trusting th

    Lord, he lost His strength.

God gives us each the strength that w

need when we put our trust in Him.

Thank you to everyone that helped ou

with the Block Party, we couldnt hav

done it without you! Next on the agend

    SCOTTS THOUGHTS

    2 Corinthians 5:21

    New International Version (NIV)

21 God made him who had no sin to b

sin[a] for us, so that in him we mighbecome the righteousness of God.

Jesus is our example in everything. Hwillingness to surrender himself to be blessing to others should be a guideline foour every action. Jesus left heaven anbecame one of us so that we might b

redeemed from a life defined by our sinfdesires. He became sin so that we migh

    become His righteousness.

Jesus cared so much about our sin problemand the eternal consequence for oudisobedience that He was willing to becomsomething contrary to His perfect nature swe could have the opportunity to becomthe opposite of our nature. He became likus so we could become like Him.

This is the example set for us to follow. W

have the good news of salvation in JesuAre we ready to follow His lead and die tself so others can have new life in Jesus? Arwe ready to become like the lost and seethem on their terms so they can become likus, followers of Jesus? Jesus led the way ancalls us to follow What are we willing t

become so that others might be redeemed?

    How Can I Respond Today?

At FACC we look to the Bible for guidance on

all issues. We believe that Gods Word is

clear concerning what a person must do to

the Holy Spirit into your life.

To make this li fe decision for Chr ist, we ask

that you comeforward dur ing our commitment

songat the conclusion of the Sunday message.
