ThE CONFERENCE

ANDIS organises the next National Conference in Milan, in cooperation with the Environmental Section of the Department of environmental, Hydraulic, infrastructures and Surveying engineering of the Politecnico di Milano. The Conference will span over four days and will begin with a plenary session during which renowned scientists will focus environmental pollution control key issues. In the following three days parallel sessions will be held on spe-cific themes. The Conference is also an important international reference, as it has already hosted a relevant numbers of attendees from different Countries in past edi-tions. During this edition, some specialised International sessions will host prominent international speakers from outstanding Research Institutions and Universities who will present innovative and topical issues dealing with sus-tainable environmental technologies for pollution prevention.

As in the past edition, the ANDIS national Conference will also involve the Associacão Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitaria e Ambiental (ABES) through the concurrent organisation of the Italo-Brazilian symposium of Sanitary and En-vironmental Engineering (SIBESA), which takes place every second year (alter-natively in Italy and Brazil) and that it is now at its eleventh edition.Previous editions took place in Florence (2008) and taormina (2004) with more than 400 attendees.

For any information, please visit the website: www.sidisa2012.it, which will be kept updated with all the news on the Symposium.
