“No Strings Attached”
On Sunday, August 10th, we will be inviting the entire community once
again, to our church to hear the Good News preached, experience
the love of Christian people, and to attend the free events and
services provided that day after church. Our goal is not to reach
churched people. Our goal is first and foremost to reach the lost,
those who have never accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior, and
those who may have one time been close to Christ but have been led
away and are not in the right relationship with Him now.
For those of you who are new to the idea of “No Strings Attached” we
got our idea from a group of like-minded believers who joined forces
in their community to offer a free one-day (4 hour) clinic in which the
medical, physical and spiritual needs of those that attended were
met. The ministry that resulted from this clinic became known as
Touched Twice United (TTU). Having been united with Christ, they now
in turn want to touch the lives of others by meeting their physical,
medical, and spiritual needs. TTU now serves as springboard for
Christian volunteers nationwide who want to impact the community
they’re a part of. This ministry provides online training and resources
for churches to use, free of charge, to get started with their own clinic.
NO STRINGS ATTACHED will once again communicate to those outside
of Christ that we expect NOTHING in return for the services they will be
receiving that day. No payment, no commitment of returning to our
church, no service in return – NOTHING. We offer no judgments, no
criticisms, no expectations – just love and acceptance.
In order for this to be a free clinic that is offered to our community, we
need EVERYONE to participate. The great news is that there are so
many ways to be involved. There is a need for donations – food,
clothing, school supplies, money, etc. There is a need for volunteers to
help prepare for the big event. And of course, there is a huge need
for volunteers that day, August 10th. So, mark your calendar now for
this community outreach and pray about how God can use you.
Watch the weekly bulletin and monthly newsletters for more details
and be thinking and praying about how you can serve others and
spread God’s love.

Greetings Senior Saints! I hope this writing finds you all well and doing fine. It’s hard to believe
we’re starting the sixth month of 2014, but it’s here. The warm weather was slow in coming, but it’s
here. Now it’s time for Senior Saints and I hope you will be there. Senior Saints will meet on Monday,
June 2nd
at 11:30 a.m. Since Father’s Day is in June, guess what men, that means it’s your turn to go
first in line for lunch. We’re going with a cookout menu this month. (What man doesn’t like a
cookout?) We will supply the Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Buns, and fixins. If you could
sign up at Connection Corner to bring some side dishes and desserts that would be
great. Also this day you will have the opportunity to meet the intern that will be
serving here at Red Brush. John Horton will be sharing with us about “The Legacy of
a Father.” John and his wife Elizabeth have been attending St. Louis Christian
College, and John will be serving as a preaching intern for the summer. They have two children, Jude
and Leila.
Also I want to thank our speaker for last month, Shirley Payne. Everyone enjoyed hearing the
stories as she shared with us on being “More than a Mother.” Make plans now to join us on Monday.
Why not invite a friend to come with you?
See you Monday!
