MISSION u
The place for the Mission u
weekend has been changed to Cal
lutheran in Thousand Oaks. The
dates are July 7-9. The cost is $275
per adult, which covers lodging
and all meals. you can find the in-
formation about the program and
how to register online at www.cal-
pacumc.org. (Choose "ministries,”
then UnitedMethodistWomen, then
2017 Mission u.) if you don't have a
computer you can call the dean of
the weekend, laura Wilson, at
310-489-8741.
Mission u is an opportunity to
study a spiritual growth topic, a ge-
ographic area, and an issue impact-
ing society. Participants grow in
understanding of the mission of the
church in the current world con-
text. The studies give particular at-
tention to the responsibilities of
women in the fulfillment of mis-
sion. This mission education pro-
gram strengthens the leadership
and membership of UMW, and it
can be a life changer for the indi-
viduals who attend. if you want to
check with someone who has at-
tended Mission u, try lynn Ash-
worth.
