2.Our Goal
1.Introduction
3.What Do We Do
Content
1.Introduction According to incomplete statistics, there are more than 30000 thousand people in
need of artificial limbs,20% of them living in China.
What’s more, nearly 1000 thousand kids in China cannot have artificial limbs because of the lack of technology and high expense on changing artificial limbs to adapt to the growth of
children’s growths.
However, 3D-printing technology has brought changes to this condition. Mechanical arms printed by 3D printer make it possible for children to grasp stuff. Through that can they do more things as everyman does. This project aims at holding events to appeal people to be aware of these ‘lost-wing angles’,and print 3D mechanical limbs for children in need in Harbin.
2.Our Goal
This program aims to aid those people in Harbin with inability to hold small object due to hands disability. And it is expected that they will benefit from 3D-printed hands and re-touch the world.
We aim to achieve goal #3
Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all age
• By 2030, reduce the global maternal mortality ratio to less than 70 per 100,000 live births
• By 2030, end preventable deaths of newborns and children under 5 years of age, with all countries aiming to reduce neonatal mortality to at least as low as 12 per 1,000 live births and under-5 mortality to at least as low as 25 per 1,000 live births
• By 2030, reduce by one third premature mortality from non-communicable diseases through l medicines and vaccines for all
Target
3.What Do We Do ●Eps are to assemble provided artificial limbs and modify them until the hands are successfully matched to the receivers. ●Eps are to record what they have done in the whole program in videos and photographs. ●Eps are to interview the receivers of artificial hands and get to know their life conditions.
●After assembling Eps are to make a video about this program with recorded materials and publish it on the Web. ●If Eps successfully finish the first three tasks, they can spend the surplus time in travelling around.
Before departure Eps should do a research about the condition of people with hands ability in their country.
City Both schools are in Heilongjiang Province, whose capital city is Harbin, known as the orient little Paris.
LC involved AIESEC HIT in China is in charged of this program.
