There's nothing better than teaching brilliant, motivated students about these ever growing industries. Our Rotorua campus is putting on an amazing selection of courses these holidays – we're even running a couple of our favourite courses twice to make sure no one misses out!
Each course is perfect for beginners and we'll provide all the equipment required. So let's get creative!

Professionally-created video content is an excellent medium for getting noticed in a crowded market. Learn to create your own professional video content for social media, your own channel or how to edit video's generated from games. Footage and game content for editing provided.

Create amazing digital models In this exciting workshop you'll be taken through the 3D modeling process step-by-step by taking a piece of concept art and turning it into a fully realised 3D model.

Bring your creations to lifeCharacter design and 3D Modeling are the two main skills responsible for creating VFXMovies, Games and Virtual Reality. In this exciting workshop you’ll be taken through the animation process in Maya. This is a great way to test your interest in 3D modelling and animation.

Artistic character craft in ZBrushEver wondered how famous animated characters such as Thanos, Gollum and Alita were all made? This creative workshop for aspiring 3D artists teaches you the fundamentals of how to conceptualise a character, including workshops on anatomy, abstraction and ideation.
The course will cover techniques such as understanding forms, brushes, basic navigation, expression and design language. The programme will be held in one of our labs equipped with brand new Cintiq ‘s, the best environment for learning new and exciting skills!

Problem solving and creative thinkingGrow your understanding of the three key design programmes used in Graphic Design. Guided by one of our knowledgeable and experienced tutors, you’ll spend two days developing core skills in industry standard software that will feed your creativity and fuel your passion for design.

STAR funded!Yoobee is a an authorised STAR
provider and our courses offer great opportunities for students to develop their creative abilities and learn new
skills and techniques in the ever-changing world of design.
STAR funding can be allocated to students as we provide them with
relevant and coherent learning experiences aligned to vocational
pathways.
We'll bring the snacks!Each class will receive a few treats
from us, but we do recommend each student brings their own packed lunch,
or money to buy something!
Each campus has facilities to make hot drinks and basic food. We're also close
to supermarkets, dairys and food courts – we recommend checking
in with our Coordinators to see what's near and make your
plan accordingly!

When our tutors aren’t teaching or learning new things themselves, they
are all working in the industry.
We have professional filmmakers, designers, and artists all willing to
share their work experience with you.

Equipment ProvidedOur School holiday courses give
everyone a chance to try new things, this includes using our amazing
equipment!
Enjoy the use of our high spec PC's, or learn how to operate and industry
standard DSLR camera. We have iPads galore and all the
industry standard software needed to get stuck in!

The programmes we have starting are:
• Level 4 Certificate in Creative MediaOur new foundation certificate covering design, filmmaking, animation & interactive media.
• Level 5 Diploma in Digital DesignAnimation & FilmEnter the world of motion! Learn Film & audio, 2D & 3D animation principles and visual effects. We like students to have one relevant Level 3 qualification to enrol into this programme – start with our Level 4 certificate if you don't have this!
