Celebrate the 4th of July by protecting the birds!
Bird stewards are needed for the 4th of July holiday and throughout the following holiday
weekend! All experience-levels and ages are welcome; the only requirement is a passion for
shorebird conservation and protecting the beaches' natural resources. Bird stewards are needed on 3
Rooker, Clearwater Point, and Indian Rocks Beach. Stewards supervise nesting colonies and educate
the public about the nesting shorebirds, their nests, and their chicks. Stewarding shifts range from 3-
6 hours, and are scheduled throughout the day. No experience is needed, and new volunteers will be
trained or teamed up with an experienced steward! If you are interested in helping at 3 Rooker,
please contact Jessica Lewis at [email protected]. If you can help at Clearwater Point or
Indian Rocks Beach, please contact Erin McGrath at [email protected].
Anyone that wants more information or has any questions can contact me at [email protected].
