In 1958 under the direction of the ascended master El Morya, Mark L. Prophet founded The Summit Lighthouse for the purpose of publishing the teachings of the ascended mas-ters. The anointed messengers, Mark L. Prophet and Elizabeth Clare Prophet (whom we fondly call Mother) were trained by their Guru, El Morya, to receive the Word of the Lord in the form of both spoken and written dicta-tions from the ascended masters.
Beginning in the early 1960s the mes-sengers began conducting quarterly conferences and other seminars where they delivered lectures and dictations from the ascended masters.
Mark and Mother are pioneers of modern spirituality and are internation-ally renowned authors. Today The Sum-mit Lighthouse carries on their legacy through publishing, outreach, seminars, Summit University retreats and quarterly conferences.

The ascended masters have asked us to conduct conferences/ retreats four times a year corresponding with the energies of the four cycles of the year—New Year’s, Easter, the Fourth of July and Columbus Day. Each cycle is an initiation for the turning of planetary as well as personal cycles and for holding the balance of light in the earth. The masters have told us that when we participate in a conference, we become a carrier of the light that is for the initiation of the lifewaves of the planet. Each conference is an opportunity for us to dip into the fount
of the ascended masters’ consciousness through dynamic decrees, meditation and the recordings of profound dicta-tions and lectures given through the Messengers of the Great White Brotherhood,* Mark and Elizabeth Prophet. Mark is now the ascended master Lanello and Elizabeth, known as Guru Ma or Mother, has passed on to higher octaves and we believe she has ascended. *The term white refers not to race but to the aura of white light that sur-rounds these immortals.

The first requirement of this order under El Morya is to care for those in physical, spiritual or emotional need and to provide care, comfort and compassion. During this retreat you will study the messenger’s and the masters’ vision and teaching about the Order of the Good Samaritan, and work in groups to define goals, activities and roles of the members of this order.

LOCATION: The River Retreat at the Royal Teton RanchThis two-day training is designed to prepare a group of teen and adult mentors to facilitate the TSL Teens United Retreat and the Knights and Ladies of the Flame Retreat as well as prepare mentors to facilitate local youth groups and retreats year-round.
Mentors are key to the success of every youth retreat and year-around youth events in your local communities. From running team-building activities to leading bunk groups, you can help create the unique environment that makes youth events and retreats so special for all involved. * All those who are accepted into the mentor training are also required to attend the Teen Retreat as a continuation of their training. See next column for more details on the teen retreat!

OVERNIGHT YOUTH PROGRAMS
PAID YOUTH & ADULT POSITIONS FOR CONFERENCE SETUP & TAKEDOWNFor teens 14 years through 17, there will be some paid positions plus an adult supervisory position to work on the conference setup and takedown crews. HIKINGThe backcountry of the Royal Teton Ranch, because
of its elevation and location in the Rocky Mountains, presents unique challenges to those who are not famil-iar with the terrain and locale. For this reason, only hikes authorized by The Summit Lighthouse will be allowed in the backcountry of the Royal Teton Ranch from June 16 through July 18. You can learn more about hiking at the Information Booth, where you can also register for the July 6 hike. The booth is located along the walkway between King Arthur’s Court and the cafeteria.

• a rain jacket with hood• a quart plastic water bottle• synthetic or wool sweater or jacket • broken-in hiking shoes or boots • sunscreen or protective hat/clothing • insect repellant• a sandwich or bag lunch
MAITREYA MOUNTAIN HIKESaturday, July 6

On July 6, the day after the conference, Maitreya Mountain is reserved for special guided hikes. If you plan to join the hike, please register at the Information Booth by July 4 and pay the $5 fee to cover hike expenses. Because of the rigors of the backcountry, high altitude, weather and wildlife (such as bears and mountain lions), The Summit Lighthouse and its authorized hiking guides have the latitude to deter-mine whether a participant is fi t for the pilgrimage to Maitreya Mountain or any other backcountry hike on ranch property.
On July 6, the day after the conference, Maitreya Mountain is reserved for special guided hikes. If you plan to join the hike, please register at the Information Booth by July 4 and pay the $5 fee to cover hike expenses. For program description, see SU retreat information on color fl yer. Class starts at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, in King Arthur’s Court. Students must pick up their workbooks on Saturday, July 6 (2–6 p.m.) or Sunday, July 7 (9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.) in the O ́ ce Building. Required textbook: Lords of the Seven Rays, by Mark L. Prophet and Elizabeth Clare Prophet (Summit University Press).
FAMILY INFO FOR SUMMIT UNIVERSITY
Teens 15 years and older are welcome to attend Summit University at the adult fee. There is a co-op program for parents with children under age 6 and a fee-based recreation program for children ages 6 to 16. Children may not be left unsupervised on campus at any time.
SU RECREATION PROGRAM (concurrent with SU)
Children and youth, ages 6–16, are welcome to participate in this all-day pro-gram while the parents are attending SU.

Corwin Springs along the Yellowstone River just north of Gardiner, Montana, and borders the spectacular Yellowstone National Park. For more than three decades, the ascended masters, their messengers and chelas have conducted summer conferences on this beautiful and sacred land.

DRESS CODEIn honor of ascended masters, angels and beings of light,
we embrace a dress code that is casual though neat, modest and clean for all events and locations a´liated with The Summit Lighthouse. Conferees are asked to follow the dress code when at the Inner Retreat. Clothing not allowed includes muscle shirts, spaghetti straps or tank tops, short shorts, or anything tight-fitting or low-cut, with the exception that modest shorts and swimwear may be worn for outdoor rec-reation. You may want to bring at least one dressy outfit for special events such as the Fourth of July waltz.
HEALTH NOTICETo make certain that everyone who attends conferences
at the Inner Retreat has a safe and enjoyable stay, we ask that you carefully consider the following before you make plans to come:
(1) In the event that you or a member of your family needs medical assistance while attending the confer-ence, please be aware that nursing or medical care is not available at the Inner Retreat. The nearest hospital, in Livingston, Montana, is an hour’s drive from the conference site. The closest medical facility is a 30-minute drive to Mammoth, Wyoming, in Yel low-stone National Park. Ambulance service is also avail-able from Mammoth. Rural ambulance service is avail-able from nearby Gardiner, Montana, and response times can be 20 minutes or longer.
(2) The conference site is located at an altitude of 5,000 feet. Some people who live near sea level can experi-ence shortness of breath at this altitude. Conferees often walk outside in hot, windy conditions over some what rugged terrain. The weather can also be cool or rainy.
(3) We strongly recommend that individuals a¦ected by altitude or with other chronic health conditions con-sult a physician before attending our programs.
PETS Because of the large number of people and especially children at the Inner Retreat during the conference, pets are not allowed. Thank you for abiding by this policy.

BY AUTOMOBILE The Royal Teton Ranch is located in rural Montana 8 miles
north of Gardiner, Montana, between Yellowstone National Park and Livingston. Access from the north: Take I-90 to Exit 333 in Livingston. Proceed south on U.S. Highway 89 for 45 miles (just past mile marker 8). Turn right on Cin na bar Basin Road and cross the bridge. Then turn right and follow the signs to Ranch Head-quarters to register in the O´ce Building.

INNER RETREAT EAST GATE CAMPGROUNDThe East Gate Campground is adjacent to the Yel low-
stone River and conveniently located relative to con-ference events. Restroom and shower facilities are near-by. Your options include:• Staying at a campsite with your own camping equip-
ment. (Campsites under the trees may not be avail-able this summer.)
• Bringing a sleeping bag and sleeping in a dormitory tent.• Parking an RV (no hookups available). Temperature range: Possible lows in 30s°F to highs in the 90s°F. Appropriate clothing and sleeping bag are essential. FEE: $20 per night for all options.

lunches and dinners with your choice of a meat or vegetarian entrée, salad, vegetables, and more.
